Planet Zoo 5th Anniversary animal (maybe, but why not?)

Genuinely, I don’t think the 5th anniversary animal should be the ABB. I think it should be something base game could actually use:
  1. One new world monkey (golden lion tamarin, squirrel monkey)
  2. A bird (swan clone, pheasant species, etc.)
  3. A habitat reptile (perentie, an African crocodile)
All 4 anniversary animals have been mammals, so personally I think a free not-mammal option would be the best.

I'm hoping for one of these three so far...
Black Swan would be amazing, its so different from the Mute Swan and is iconic in its own right. Would add to Australia.
Blackbuck is elegant and we need a (warm) Asian antelope desperately.
Perentie just because its really weird we don't have a monitor for the monitors continent.

South American coati because maybe it was meant to be in this pack but it needed a little longer in the oven, and it won't fit into the theme for the next DLC.

The anniversary animal could be anything I think, the peccary, leopard and red deer were all high effort additions.

I had the same thought about the coati lately.

And I personally think the anniversary animal should be a South American animal, cause let's remember: the anniversary animals are animals that are actually base game animals.

Besides the Tapir and the Peccari there are hardly SA animals in the base game. Especially if you don't count the Galapagos Giant T.

This is also why I think it won't be the ABB. There are already the Grizzly, the Himalayan Brown Bear and the Formosan Black Bear, besides the Panda. Enough bears for the base game.

The coati would be a very nice addition for the basegame.

I also think a New World Monkey like Squirrel Monkey would be an option or the Howler who would benefit from the choir behaviour.

Also I think a good option would be the Pudu, the Humboldt Penguin or something more niche like the Southern Screamer or a duck.

A perentie, black swan, pretty much any second wild landfowl species (pheasant, turkey, quail, etc, hell I'm so desperate I'll take a second peafowl), or an African crocodile would be my favorite options. If it has to be a mammal, make it a monkey. If not that, then an Indian antelope (blackbuck/nilgai) would be great as it's a niche I'd like to see filled but not an animal I really want taking up space in a paid pack.

Realistically, I wouldn't be surprised to see the ABB though, for good and for bad.

Seems like the American Black Bear or Nile Crocodille would be pretty nice gifts. But to be honest, after the African Leopard, basically any animal would be better than THAT.

Lately, I have been thinking about Black Swan. Simple enough to make from the Mute Swan and would be another waterfowl and an Oceanian species. They are quite popular in zoos too.

As much as any waterfowl will be super helpful, part of me would worry about the possibility of a swan clone being the only new waterfowl we ever get. Like, a scenario where Frontier thinks the black swan fulfilled the desire for waterbirds well enough, and thus decide to overlook ducks and geese as candidates for future DLC.
