Planet Zoo | Americas Animal Pack | Announce

Yes don't get me wrong. I LOVE rhea, saki, ocelote and bush dog. I think they are fantastic aditions and do a lot for SA Rep. I actually really like the big horned sheep in a vacum just... Not now and not in this pack.

The abscence of the coati REALLY hurts this pack and the abscence of the mara hurts me personally because i don't think will ever get them now. This was their chance...
Yes, I feel the same about the Mara. I would really love Mara, even more than Coati. And I think the coati has a bigger chance to still be added to the game.
Coyote is a Mesoamerican word, from the Aztec. Well, technically it's a Spanish word derived from the Aztec. That's why it should be pronounced kai-yo-tea or coh-yo-teh. Not kai-oat or (shudders) yotes

Edit: looked it up. The Aztec word is Coyolt. It means trickster
That's a cool fact! Thanks for sharing! I'm happy to learn something new :D I love the extra meaning of that word; it is so fitting X)
Imma make a TNT shack for my coyote😂
Who's with me?
I'll give it a try, too :D
Beautiful! Ocelots FTW!🥳
By the way, aren't those plants new? The ones just behind the tall grass? 👀

Haven’t posted since the pack reveal, but YES I am SO excited for this pack.

Of course, no Coati is harsh. But enough said about that - nothing that hasn’t already been covered.

The animals revealed are FANTASTIC! I’m especially excited about the White Faced Saki, American Flamingo and Bush Dog. The Greater Rhea and Ocelot models look INCREDIBLE.

Great job!

After thinking about it for a while, I have come to the realisation that I actually don't really care for the coati all that much.
Maybe it's because it's not particularly prevalent in zoos here (it technically has about 6 holders in my country, but not in any major zoo), or because it's an animal I don't think I'd particularly enjoy building a habitat for, but I'm fine with its exclusion. I actually prefer this pack without the coati
(Still, I would be far from mad if they included it)

That's actually an interesting viewpoint. I could live without it myself, although I would love its inclusion

My favourite animals tend to be the ones that don't really add anything significant to the game, and that are simply "options" that I can add to my zoo from time to time... Which is why I love the Water Buffalo, Asian Water Monitor, Spurred Tortoise, Caracal and the like so much. They don't feel necessary to complete the zoo roster, but they're nice to have. Same goes for half of this new pack (specifically the Bighorn Sheep, Flamingo and Ocelot)

Are... Are you guys serious?

Literally in my entire life i've never, and i mean not a single time i've seen anyone refer to Australia as a continent, not IRL, not on books or school, nor in any other corner of the internet, with the only other answer i've got being "an island that belongs to Oceania".

In fact i've only discover the concept of "Australia continent" in these very own forums from people defending the exact same thing.

But regardless, the fact that nobody used the Australia pack as a hook to say, "we should get a pack from other countries", is enough to convince me that packs based on other countries would be fine.
As an American, I was taught that Australia is "both a country and a continent". All neighboring pacific islands that weren't considered to be a part of Southeast Asia were lumped together under "the continent of Australia". I never heard it referred to as Oceania by other people (as opposed to nature books or whatever) until I began interacting more with international people online.

Incidentally, I was also explicitly taught that North America consists of exactly Canada, the USA, and Mexico, and anything further south than Mexico was considered South America. I think this is a pretty common thought around here, but maybe not so much as the Australia thing.

W take. Absolutely agree.

It’s really nice to have so called ‘filler species’, not just for updated and fresher models, but just for choice purposes! It’s why I’d love the Asiatic Lion, Sumatran Tiger, Eurasian Brown Bear, Masai Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra etc.
