If you are aware about the fact that they sometimes hunts seals and how they do it, they quickly become absolutely horrifying
Planet Zoo is an absolutely amazing game. The mammal roster is excellent after four years, even with a couple of weak points, far superior to any other zoo game that's been done. Even Zoo Tycoon 2 (just in my opinion of course). You all know why I'm specifying mammals of courseA place to share our love and appreciation for our favourite game

So here we go with the questions:
- What's been your favourite animal released this year? - Crested Porcupine. Though the RRH was one space higher on my want list, the level of detail to our quill-covered rodent is absolutely astonishing. how can that NOT be my favorite so far?
- What's your favourite animal in the whole game so far? - Giant Panda, but with the Meerkats coming a very close second
- What's been the best update / update feature for you? - I cannot choose between these two - Restaurants...fantastic addition for game play, and way back in 2020 or 2021 when the ability to save Franchise zoos as sandbox zoos...simply put, if you had a franchise zoo that was suddenly failing but you'd spent much time in it, you didn't have to let it go and not play it anymore....you could still enjoy it in Sandbox mode, while you did what you could to try to salvage the Franchise save of it.
- What did you think of the latest livestream? - I honestly can't say. I'm not a huge livestream watcher. The last one was for Oceania right? That was cute.
- Why do you love PZ so much? - I love animals. I love simulator games. Combine the two for a Zoo simulator...and then add the level of detail that Frontier's given this game...there's so many ways to play and so many things you can do. And I gotta tell ya, I just got a new computer recently and I thought the game ran fine on my old one, which was the one I got in 2016. ....playing the game now...the quality and smoothness is a whole new level. The game simply looks so much better with 60 FPS than it does with 15.
- What have you built that you're most proud of? - I'm really not much of a builder. I've learned enough to have the basics to the point I now would rather design my own buildings and design my own barriers...but it's still mid-level amatuer skill. I don't think this counts but I am actually really proud of my banner zoo, I should probably show that in the zoos thread...just the overall layout, even if the last year it didn't get nearly anywhere the attention it did in its first year because I could imagine my computer screaming in agony everytime I loaded the zoo. I'm definitely back in it and may even expand upon it.
What's been your favourite animal released this year?
Porcupine. I like building for smaller animals and the porcupine is just a really usefull animal. Also really impressive model.
What's your favourite animal in the whole game so far?
African penguin. Idk they are also a really usefull animal and fit easily in pretty much every zoo.
What's been the best update / update feature for you?
Really hard to say honestly since im probably only remembering a fraction of them. Do the plants count? If not its probably the colorvariation update back in the day.
The ones this year were pretty meh to me, so i hope the upcoming update has some neat stuff.
What did you think of the latest livestream?
They are pretty cool, i think its really nice that frontier does these creative little streams teasing the DLC and explaining the update features. Although i think my favorite thing about them are the discussions in the forums after, talking about the clues and trying to piece them together.
Why do you love PZ so much?
I had a burning passion for animals as long as i can remember and i love creative and crafty stuff. So planet zoo kinda merges these two things together. Also played ZT2 alot back in the day and PZ its is spiritual successor, aswell as an upgraded Version of it in every way
What have you built that you're most proud of?
I think my recent South america house turned out pretty neat, but its hard to say.

My favourite animal released this year have actually surprised me, it's the Somali Wild Donkey. I love how it's animated and it got me interested in a species I knew very little about earlier.
It's hard to just pick one animal in the game that's my all time favourite, but the first that comes to mind is the African wild dog. I made a park where my purpose were to breed as good Canids as possible. Somehow they became the star of the show and since then they have had a special place in my PZ-heart.

Now the swines feel more complete.
This year started off rocky, but ended with a bang. I think the Eurasia animal pack is gonna be my favorite this year. I think; I'll need to see how it compares with the Tropical pack
I highly appreciate the effort that was put into the modular gift shops. Best update of the year. And I appreciate this pack. I will update my favourite animal list of the pack, even if maybe a little premature and hard to pick.
