OK. So far, I've always said we don't need animal remasters (except the malayan tapir and increasing the size of the giant tortoises). But seeing the animals in this pack, I'm starting to change my mind for the first time.
But it's a very weird feeling because I still think all animals in the game look good. The old animals don't look bad to me. They are a little bit stylized but still accurate and realistic enough at the same time. I even think that style was a good compromise for a video game and maybe gave PZ its own identity?
The latest animals look like they were made with another stylistic choice in mind and I don't really know how to feel about it. They almost look photorealistic. In a way, I absolutely love it. You know, I'm never going to complain about more realism in the game. But I almost wonder if it was necessary to go as far as those vein details? Once again, I love it but at the same time, I still want to use all animals and now the difference between older and newer animals is starting to get too big?
I don't know if what I'm saying makes any sense... It's hard to explain how I feel. I absolutely love the ultra realistic look of the new animals but I also liked the unique PZ style of the old ones, you know what I mean?
Anyway, Frontier, don't take this comment as complaining or criticism. Thank you for the amazing new animals and your amazing work

I'm still so hyped for the new pack ! But for the first time, I'm starting to think you should maybe update the older animals with your new skills if possible. If not, that's fine too. I have absolutely no idea about how all of this works and how much work it would be to update older animals.
And maybe a question for computer experts. Are animals with this level of detail making the game harder to run for your PC or it doesn't have any impact?
