Bring rural beauty to your zoos and let your guests get closer than ever to these beloved animals that have lived alongside humans for hundreds of years. Planet Zoo: Barnyard Animal Pack will feature 7 highly requested animals alongside over 60 new scenery pieces as well as a brand new Scenario!

First up we have the Sussex chicken with its curious nature, beautiful plumage and energetic demeanour, from the Scottish highlands we have the stunning Highland cattle with its heavy rich coat, gentle personality and affectionate nature. Straight from the mountain range we have the playful, friendly and adaptable Alpine goat which is renowned for their agility and sure-footedness as well as the South American Alpaca with its distinctive slender neck, elegant posture and gentle, intelligent nature. This pack also introduces the brave and intelligent American standard donkey, the hardy Hill Radnor sheep from the glorious rolling hills of Wales, and the playful Tamworth pig. These friendly animals may even interact with guests if they are in the mood for attention!
To me, so close and yet so far. Just alpaca I've been expecting.

I feel like people are discounting the fact that this is a net-new experience. PC did not have any dlc after it was ported to console, JWE(2) have always been console games. I don't really see an indication this will be the final content for PZ. Frontier have added to their revenue stream with the console audience, through the Season-pass and DLC packaging. I'm willing to bet they're seeing success with that. If they can keep making dlc that people buy for PC AND consoles, they absolutely will continue to do so.
I actually think is why they've been quiet. They are waiting to see how it's received on console. If it's making hella money and there's every indication console players are buying DLC than it would be a bit silly to go out and shoot the cash cow rather than keep milking it. Provided it's selling well releasing DLC is way more cost effective than making a new game. They can make $40 worth of DLC every year or $60 worth of game every 3-5 years.

So we shall see what we shall see.

I would not exclude a domestic ungulate within this Pack for a duck. Alpaca perhaps but this is my Personal favourite of the Pack as it can be used also besides a domestic area in regular South American areas.
To each their own, I’m happy for ya then. :>

I’ll enjoy my chicken at the very least. Some decent scraps for us bird fans.

R.I.P monkey fans tho, I think they’re all dead by now 💀

Wow definitely not the pack I expected, nor wanted as potential final pack.

A farming pack to close the life support,... nah not possible and if it is the people who took this decisions are probably the silliest I've ever heard about.
Today I feel like someone eating in a gastronomic restaurant, I already ate for 250$ of appetizers, starters and main dishes. Not everything was perfect but I did enjoy my meal up to there and they bring me cheese, and it is a very sad emmentaller that I will need to pay 10$.... if there is not a good dessert after it is a very sad way to end a meal.....
Frontier you do great animals and I have no doubt they will look stunning... but I beg you communicate, now it is too late for a roadmap (but it would have avoid the reactions here) but tell us it is not that last pack....

Now roster wise.....
Clones... at least they saved ressources maybe for another pack
On the good side I take gladly the chicken the cattle and the sheep. The chicken will help the modders at least for new kinds of birds....
But the donkey.... we have one already... the pig, the 4 wild species were not enough? and the alpaca ???? really?
If you want to do a farming pack, fair, but put a rabbit, a guineafowl, duck, turkey, guinea pig, something new.... something that I won't feel like I pay 10$ but was modded....
The only very nice thing is the update.

Frontier, Wednesday communicate and you might save this pack. And not just vague things like "you will get happy".... clear things that won't deceive people... and don't say highly requested species when the breed you choose were not the most anticipated....
Sorry for this vent session.... and the people who are happy enjoy well this pack no matter it is the last or not <3

Knowing Frontier is a British company, a lot of the picks definitely make sense. The Tamworth Pig and Hill Radnor Sheep are teo oddballs that make sense when you consider that Frontier probably went to some British farm parks for their research.
The only strange pick is the Alpine Goat. I know they were mostly going for European picks, but the African Dwarf Goat is WAY more common than the Alpine in UK farm parks. I’m excited for the Alpine Goat, but yeah it’s the only pick that doesn’t really make sense.
Not gonna lie, I think the alpine goats are far more handsome animals. The African Dwarf Goat only originated in 1985, so it wouldn't be considered a heritage breed; my guess is that Frontier is trying to continue the theme of conservation into "historic breeds that need preservation"?

Oh no.

Oh yuck.

This is so disappointing I feel sick. Please don’t let this be the last pack.

Legit want to cry. Another donkey? A goat? An alpaca? I… we could have had birds. We could have had monkeys. We could have had a coati. There’s not even a bloody rabbit.

You reading my mind? Just saw it and damn, no. All I can see is "copy-paste-copy-paste-copy-paste"...nothing really new, nothing really interesting.

Oh well, if it really is the last one at least I can finally go get aaaalll the cool mods without even the slightest chance of updates breaking them.

All thanks to most of these forum members that kept on crying for boring farm animals.

It sucks really bad, especially since it is the last pack we'll ever get.

R.I.P Secretary bird, Markhor, aquatics, birds, coati, shoebill, spectacled bears, pelicans and many, many other animals we didn't get in the game, all thanks to the farm-crowd that kept on crying for boring farm animals they could cuddly with in this game, and in the end the animals we get are extremly boring copies of animals we already had, like donkey, sheep and goats, where are the Turkey's and rabbits, those would have been at least a little bit different and new.

If this really is the last pack, it is a very big disappointment, and a shame. Not really going out with a bang here.

Not even gonna buy it.

We don't really know if this is the last pack. All we can do is wait for more information.
