I will admit that my deaf cat is somewhat easily spooked but never before by anything on a screen. The first time he saw the game opening with the baby elephant he was on the couch with me and got so scared he jumped straight up in the air, over the back of the couch and ran down to the basement. I had to go and comfort him, laughing all the time. I'm playing Planet Zoo on a huge 4k TV so the baby elephant appears to be much larger than my cat, and the angle of the screen to where he was on the couch probably looked like it was coming right at him. It wasn't just a one-time thing, either, now I have to make sure he's not looking when I open the game. I think he figures it's an enormous mutated mouse with its tail on the wrong end
Hats off to Frontier though, even my cat thinks your animals are realistic!
When I finally get around to making my African elephant habitat he's going to have a rough time. Last night I played a cute elephant video from Reddit and he got spooked at that, and it wasn't running right at him. Silly cat is now pachydermophobic. I had to look it up, it is actually a thing.
