yes, of course. Don't work for me. I opened now a support-ticket... need to wait :/
Its available now.. but people are having trouble with connecting to its servers. Apparently quitting the game, and restarting it will fix the mode, as one of the people in the comments of this reddit post said:

Oh okay thanks. Yeah mine didn’t connect. But the game just crashed (tried to get on the train) so I’ll restart and see if franchise will work now.
Was it suppose to be 10 GB? My system shows only 6.4gb
They mentioned 10GB but 6.4GB is correct.

How do you play offline for Career Mode? I had a great first session, I'm already totally in love with this game already but it was getting laggy after a while and I think it was because I was online. I hadn't done enough in the zoo yet for it to be anything else. I'd like to try it offline tomorrow and see if there's a difference.
I lag in every mode, and its not because of the internet connection, its due to the graphics. My pc supposedly can handle the game on recommended, but yet, I can't play it on the best graphics mode for some reason, so I get to look at animals that are poorly textured, instead of the beautiful animals everyone else has..
I am working in zoos and I must say the game is stunning in the simulated realism. I am amazed.
I just have two little tidbits:
When the game asks me in the tutorial to raise the height of the tiger fence, I can't do it. Maybe it is my stupidity but it just didnt seem to go higher than 2m for me.
And I am playing the German version, and there is something which sounded odd. There is a meter for animals called Lebensqualität ("quality of life"), I assume it's enrichment in the english version? Enrichment is also the term used in the German zoo world, but the German term "Beschäftigung" would also apply. Quality of life seemed to be rather harsh, and doesn't fit what the meter meant.

I had that as well. When you place the initial gate you can raise the 'starting' height and continue onward from there. This worked for me at least.
