^ I made a successfull Gharial Hab that has eye level water viewing for guests. The barrier height exactly at the water line and eye/chest height for guests.

So it's just a half experiment at making eye level viewing for a land animal.

First time I've actually used the caiman this week. Don't know why it took me so long - really like the markings on it. I have them in with my gharials because as usual I gave them waaaay more space than was necessary.

Woah. Can I use this screenshot? I'm making some South American habitat signs.

Actually, all your HD photos are good. I'm needing these kind of images to make habitat signs (High quality and animals in the wild)

Ok, for whatever reason I can't post the South American boards I made. I've tried cropping them, but no success. Maybe I'll have to wait till the update and screenshot my sign for y'all to see

Did you already try to change the Format in which the File is saved? This can also make the File smaller 😉

Awesome!
Great work, Darth Quell - is this the first in the series of custom SA habitat boards? 👏
Keep em coming
Thanks. I'm dividing them by region/continent and then by habitat and exhibit. I finished Australia and S. America.

My only issue is that, since I play ok weekends, I have to wait all week before I can get the distribution maps, since I'm taking screenshots of the in-game maps.

This is all I'm ready to share right now from what I've worked on so far today. I made a little waterfall scene using the trophy rewards that showcases some wildlife native to Southeast Asia. Some are obviously not actually what I call them, but meh who cares. I might try and get some custom art for billboards, haven't decided yet. Anyways, the species showcased are:
  • Malayan tapir
  • Sulawesi babirusa
  • Bornean Orangutan
  • Saltwater crocodile
  • Sunda pangolin
  • Javan rhinoceros
  • Burmese python
Also, the waterfall will flow into the Malayan tapir habitat, hence the grate.

Very cool. You've given me some inspiration

Are these screenshots taken in game? Is there anything you did/use to get such high quality pictures? :)
Hi Ozian,

Planet Zoo supports Nvidia Geforce Ansel which is a photo capturing tool you can access by holding Alt and pressing F2. This tool has a lot of settings you can adjust and I usually go for depth of field, a smidge of vignette, I add letterboxes, add a little HDR toning as well as a tiny bit of sharpening. Then I adjust contrast etc depending on the situation/ already existing lighting. This is why some photos in this thread may look different to the presentation of the game while it's running.

Captured photos have a much larger file size than Steam screenshots, so I use Paint to copy and paste and save them into placeholder steam screenshots, I delete all thumbnails so they refresh when logging back in and I upload them after this process.
