Planet Zoo - Update 1.1.2

I think you are building or did something the game doesn't allow you to.

Just to give some explanation: I had something similar a while ago.
I hit pause to adjust/build something new.. During building of that habitat, i also moved the gate from a different existing habitat with animals in it.
When I hit play, it only took a couple of seconds to crash to desktop. Luckily i had a save right before this, so I was able to reproduce this.

Thanks for your work! Glad for people with bugs. But it's a good feeling when none of this update is effecting you because you are lucky enough to have none of this bugs. ^^ Well, okay, maybe I haven't seen the inspector in a while.. hmmm...

My game crashes when I build too much in pause and then hit play. Currently checking on how to reproduce before I put it in the issue tracker, though.

Does it seem to be with pathing related building ? So far, I am only crashing ( get the crash reporter tool appear ) while in scenarios and intermittently when I place a path, door that creates a path connection, or building that creates a path connection... or removes the connection it crashes out. It might not do it all the time, but every time it does it's while I'm doing one of those things.

I also have the issue that the game crashes if it's paused too long (maybe >10 min.). Right now my game crashed after I tabbed out and did some other stuff. So, in my case, I didn't make any changes in game before (like to build something). The game was just running, I paused and tabbed out and after (in this case) 2 hours I tabbed in again and unpaused - the game freezed and after some minutes there was a CTD together with a message which told that the game has crashed. I had this issue before the last patch but it still occurs.

Hey Guys, does this update do anything about the guest leaving because they are 1 hour in the park and does it anything about the feeding issue?
I don't know what exactly you mean with feeding issue but if you mean something like my Problem where Japanese Macaques refused to eat even though there was enough Food, I tested it and at least until now all of them ate normally. But I'm currently only testing with a Group of 8 Macaques

Well sort off, i mean the fact that keepers don't fill every feeding tray and so making it that animals starve to death? Anything done about that?

I didn't had this Problem. Normally they should place enough Food for every Animal. Do you have more than one Species in the Enclosure that require different Food? At least the last Time I've had African Elephants living in a Zoo, it caused Problems

Ok, so editing paths still leads to guests disappearing and reappearing at the entrance, even though it's not even close to them. Just started expanding my zoo and making new paths (And those new paths wasn't even connecting to any existing paths yet!) and my guest number went from 4500 to 2100 in 3 sec....
How are you supposed to be able to expand your zoo without closing it when this keeps happening??? :(

Nope, that is not the problem.

Honestly I thought it was just my laptop (though it's brand new, and a gaming laptop with nothing else on it but Planet Zoo), but it might be another bug. I just think if you spend too long building anything while paused (for me it can often be up to an hour, I'm a slow builder), the game struggles to catch up with all the changes you've made between being paused and unpaused.

Thanks for fixing the inspector visits in Career mode. I could finish my two bugged sessions tonight in fast forward and the Last Leg the normal way with gold in all 14 scenarios. I hope Frontier will keep adding more Career challenges, they are so much fun!

The inspector is not completely fixed, though. I can see that the inspector icon is active and get a tiny white, but empty box to pop up when clicking on the icon, but no indication of time until the next visit. The same happens in regular Franchise zoos.

Ah, well it's worth a shot.. Back in November/December some players (including me) had this issue when moving the gate and basically the same way of crashing.
Does this happen with all your saves/zoos? Or just in 1 zoo?

All player guest names are showing up as unparseable in the UI.
Same for me !

Thanks!! I will only start playing the game again when they fixed those 2 issues.
Will check next month if they done anything about it.
Well, it's difficult to determine if it's a player or game issue. Most likely you have tried all options in the sticky (not all people with this issue did)
Have you tried deleting/removing the keepers hut (just the facility, not the entire building) and placing a new one (doesn't matter if it's in the same spot)
I did this with a couple of my shops (staff wouldn't use the building) and it was fixed. I don't know if this makes a difference but saw this solution on steam.
Does this happen with all your zoos? Or just in 1 zoo?
And lastly: did you submit your save game to Frontier support?

I have the "Pause" issue as well.

The game stops calculating everything when the game is paused. If you build too much during the pause period, the game will re-calculate all stats for all animals and habitats at the same time when you unpause. Even for the habitats that did not receive any changes.

That real time updating is causing these issues I presume. It can happen with any size zoo, it totally depends on the amount of time paused, and the adjustments made, the more, the higher the change of crashing.

If I do not pause and just continue building, none of these things happen, as probably not all calculations are done at once.
I've also noticed that when these crashes occur, I do not get the crash report window.

After this update some of my visitors stayed longer then 1 hour. I had visitors in my park for 1 hour and 20 minutes.. I don't know if it's a glitch. Because those visitors were in my park before the update. I'm going to test if I close the zoo and reopen it, the new visitors also stay longer then 1 hour..

My boyfriend and I are both seeing parsing errors on the VIP guests in notifications on two different computers with two different steam setups. The names are correct when viewing them in the individual panel, but all VIP guests (Even ones that never did this before) show up like this in the alerts.
