Planet Zoo: Wetlands Animal Pack arriving 12 April

I expect something and I don't expect something.
Basically, I am expecting a free, easy to make animal on the anniversary, but if we don't get anything, I'm not gonna be disappointed since it wasn't promised anyways
So... you hope for an animal?

Screengrabs taken from someone on discord.

Since there's no new screenshots or news today, why don't we talk about this? One is a game entering it's 3rd year in life, the other was released less than 6 months ago. I don't recall many times, if ever, Planet Zoo has dipped into the low 2k number of players.

One of the best reasons we have to believe Planet Zoo will continue to see updates and dlc beyond this year is the total failure that JWE2 has become, at least as it stands right now. Yes, it's numbers are slightly boosted by console players. But the fact remains that Frontier can count on PZ to be a steady revenue stream for them, for, frankly at least 2 years after we're finished with this year's four dlc and updates.
I keep seeing posts today that I have missed yesterday, but this makes me happy. I mean, I feel sorry for the JWE2 Devs and players, but seeing PZ still going strong after some people called it dead before the end of year 2 this is just awesome - and makes me too slightly optimistic for 2023, simply because it would be not logical to stop now.

a few days ago there was a discussion about the mutual enrichment of the new dlc animals. i can't find it anymore. does anyone know where it was? actually i just wanted to know how likely it is that you can put the water buffalo with the flamingos.

I mentioned it in the DLC predictions thread but it was purely based on guesswork. My guess would be no, since their range has little overlap and aren’t mixed in any real world zoos.

Say what you want about Caiman. It looks beautiful.

This is replacing dwarf one in almost all of my zoos
And that's the very reason why it should have never been added to the game. Okay, it looks good, maybe better than the dwarf caiman, but it's still a substitute of it, it doesn't add anything to the game. If we would get +200 more animals in the game's lifespan I'd gladly take it but that's not the case unfortunately.

Amazing model.
But it still another gator.
But still great.

Here is com I read on Instagram (cuz that pretty much sums up my opinion) : "This is the only species in this pack really disappoints me, we already have Cuvier' Dwarf Caiman, why do we need another South American crocodilian?? Currently we don't have any large freshwater turtle, why not making Alligator Snapping Turtle or Indian Narrowhead Softshell"

Indeed, it could have been so cool to have an Alligator Snapping Turtle, encouraging those who don't have already the North America Animal Pack to buy it.

I still can't understand the reason of this choice, but I repeat : great model.
