We've also released free update 1.18 alongside this pack, which includes the African Leopard - available to all of our PC players for FREE! But it doesn't stop there... You'll also have a selection of avatar hats available to purchase from the Hats Fantastic shop, alongside a selection of scenery pieces to help bring the party to life, We've even included some iconic blueprints for you to use! You'll receive a brand new jelly cake enrichment item for free too, as we don't want your animals to miss out on the fun! As well as all of that, there is also another limited-time event happening in-game with a Community Challenge running until the 21st October! In this special event, you'll receive a boosted animal in return for every 5 animals you release (with a 1 in 50 chance of having Piebald or Albino colouring!) Alongside this you will also gain a complete Avatar outfit for every 20 animals released - so you really can celebrate in style!

General Bug Fixes and Improvements

Animals

  • Fixed an issue where Juvenile Alpine Goats were unable to access the Scarecrow enrichment item
  • Audio has been updated to match the Female alpine goat scratching post
  • Minor animation adjustments to Female and Juvenile Sussex chickens death pose
  • Female Black and White Lemur no longer shrinks when drinking from the water pipe
  • Juvenile Sun bear no longer deforms when interacting with the Ice Block enrichment item

  • Added "Racoon" tags to appropriate climbing structure blueprints

HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY PLANET ZOO!!

The best game ever made, thank you for a phenomenal 5 years! This pack is beautiful, I'm looking forward to all of these stunning animals and watching their animations, as well as the new cable/rope and tent items. Thank you for the bug fixes too - especially the souvenir fixes and the binturong behaviours!

I'll always be playing Planet Zoo, the only thing that could tear me away would be a sequel. Until then, I'll be right here playing what we have and whatever might come along for our zoos :D

Happy release day! It's been great having DLC for 5 years but all good things must come to an end. I hope this community sticks around for a while, there's still many fun zoos to build. :)

I love the trailer! Now that I've seen the animals and items in some videos, let me go through my view on the pack. Overall, I think it's very solid. There are some missing species I would've wanted in a final pack (which I assume this is), but I guess I'll just have to wait for PZ2 for the pelican, mara, rhea and coati.

Hamadryas Baboon - 9/10 This is by far the most needed animal of this pack. It's such a common zoo species and totally different from anything we have. Yes it resembles the mandrill but it lives in huge groups and much dryer/rockier habitats. Of all species, this is the one I'm most excited for, and I'm glad they included its iconic backside. Not a perfect 10 because the manes are slightly off.

African Spurred Tortoise - 9/10 A brave choice, but I'm happy for another reptile. It looks the most realistic of all species in the game, and honestly a bit too detailed compared to the other items and especially guests/staff. I love that burrowing behaviour was added.

Coquerel's Sifaka - 9/10 Not a species I needed, and yes it should've been a New World monkey. That said, it looks insanely good. the jumping behaviour is extremely cute and I can see this become one of my favourite species.

Kirk's Dik-Dik - 8/10 Not a species that's essential to me, but definitely one I'll use. I love how detailed it looks with details such as the big eyelashes and the wiggly nose. I love how distinct it is from other antelopes, as it will definitely need a different kind of habitat.

Spectacled Bear - 7/10 I'm happy to have some South America addition, and now we finally have all three SA species from ZT2. However, for me there's not much added value as we had most other bears already. This is totally personal though, and objectively it's a solid addition that also looks great.

Markhor - 6/10 I was kinda excited for this species, as it's nice to have a mountain ungulate that also lives in warmer areas. Its looks are unique, and it should be in the game as it was in the previous zoo games. At least it won't have the annoying steepness requirement it had in ZT1. While I love its addition, I think the manes are off and quality-wise it's not on the same level as the other species.

Pallas' Cat - 6/10 I'm happy for the fans but I never really saw its appeal. That said, I think it looks totally fine and it's definitely cute. Maybe I'll end up using it eventually.


Scenery - 10/10 I don't see myself using the festive items, but this is the pack that gave us some of the most versatile and most basic zoo items. Despite being an animal pack, I think it has perhaps the best set of scenery thus far. But really I don't like the names of items that have 'Zookeeper' in them. They should've just named the items what they are without incorporating it into some kind of theme.

Overall I'd give the pack an 8/10. I'm far more excited than I was for some others (i.e. Arid, Eurasia), and the main complaint I have is that it's the last while some essential species are still lacking. I think all animals are reasonably solid and in some way unique additions, and I can see myself using a majority of them.

For better or worse with this pack specifically, it's been an amazing adventure over the last five years. there's other animals we all would like to see, but 5 years ago I'm sure most of us myself included ever though we'd have nearly 200 animals in the game at the end. Thank you.

(I just wish we could have gotten one more New World Monkey....but it is what it is.)

Cool. I've seen that you also added the "Aldabra giant tortoise" tag to some shelters since they didn't have any. Now only the grey seal, red kangaroo, California sea lion and Cuvier dwarf caiman are missing some premade shelters (even if these 4 animals don't need shelter, it's good to have some blueprints for them too).

Thanks the frontier the Coquerels Sifaka is my favorite in the pack with the tortoise it looks amazing!

I know this is probably the end for this game but please consider in the next game raising the Giant Pandas species appeal to be the highest in the game. When a zoo has a panda it should be a big deal and the most popular animal in the zoo far and away! Right now the most popular animals in game with the highest species appeal are : African Savannah Elephant, Lion, Polar Bear, and Gorilla. If you look at real zoos that house all these animals the pandas are more popular than these animals in these zoos so please make pandas in planet zoo a real crowd drawing animal.

Great Pack. Wish I could immediately play, but have some Real Life Problems which prevent that.
I think though there should've also been Meat and Fish Versions of the Jelly Cake. Why do only Herbivores and Omnivores get to celebrate?
More Plants would've been amazing, but the Apple Tree definitely is a great Addition and I'm pretty sure I will also find some nice Things to do with the Apples
