No shame. I never reached Elite in any of the games. Usually my interest petered out and when I would pick up a game once again I was restarting anew. Wouldn't restart ED though, it's been terribly slow to get to medium sized ships. Warframe is grindy, but the cost to acquire new gear does, as a rule, not escalate. ED just compounds on each other and requires to solve them to advance - talking about combat here.

To be fair - I played enough, i just had more fun at the start of the game, and trading. Combat has never really been the be all to end all...
I will get triple Elite though, at some point!
I agree - i could restart Elite 2 over and over, but ED? Not a chance.
Getting credits - not that difficult, but I'm not a kid, i don't have hours to play. If i lost my character now, i'd probably never get close again to where I am now.
In my own personal opinion I think that trade and exploration are not too grindy to get elite and are balanced well. With that said, I feel combat might need a little boost on kill ranks. I think combat elite is just too much for an “average” player, even long term it can take years to get and that’s too long for any game in my opinion.
I probably missed something.
I wonder if ground combat will speed up Elite combat rank as a complement to air combat, or there will be a new Elite rank.
