Player Planetside Bases

So we all enjoy this game obviously and there is so much to do that makes it very immersive, this living galaxy is really cool with what we can do, especially with odessey. So what about player bases on planets? Not only would it cater to those with those intrests and draw in some new players possibly, but it could make the universe even more immersive.
So heres what it could be, not the buiulding and material grind really that alot of builders like ark and stuff have, but more simplified since its a "colony". First you pick a spot and possibly pay a fee to the system that owns it, if not then great sdome sort of galactic prospectors fee or something, then you establish the landing sites to bring in materials, and heres where player immersion will take place, naturally you wouldnt be doing this early game, such as getting fleet carriers, so you would probably have the means to get a good haul;ler of some sort, so to build your base youll have to procure and deliver the materials, multiple plaers make it go faster etc(for squadrons). Now by no means will players really be taking part in the galactic politics other than how we do, that works and is fine, and there should also be a limit like with the carriers, because building a base of ops in this way in this game, would seem to mean that it needs to be "useable" as in missions and products like every other AI colony, so you can select what goes on at your place, you can make and hire the defense force, or even be in the "roster" of contested planets..
SO back to the "building" now the devs have already made an entire suite of awsome assets to use, so i believe the building should be as a "component"? like you build a power statyioon, you get what everyone else has, maybe do you own colors or something, but the buildings need to be what is al;ready made, with those assets many different combinations can be made, WITH, some specific buildings, or base radious being locked with arx, or even "types" of bases/colonys. So the player takes a big hand in its construction, now NO mans sky has it like that and it works, albeit sometimes it takes some time but thats what this game is all about, immersion. So you deliver mats for the buildings and "greeble" around the base, and then over time the "builders" whether thier robots or people do thier work. Then it also takes alot of meshing with the economy because the bases would be doing stuff like the others do, agri bases would make the agri stuff , mining etc, so you would specialize in a commodity or two to trade. There would of course be the same sort of upkeep that carriers have, the base could generate money for the players or squadron etc. The posssibility to lose the base is there to in some way that could be worked out due to pirate attacks or player attacks possibly for that element. For the pirates as well there could always be a "protection type pay/extortion" that could be worked into things maybe. Who knows? I think this would be a good idea, a new dlc to support the devs AND would be alot of fun and add an entire new dynamic to EDO. I know for my self i would love to have some back water system ive turned into a place where people go and settle eventually expanding the borders of human contact in the game.
 
This is the second thread currently active on base building, did we really need another one while the first one is basically at the top of the forums? Maybe a mod can combine these two threads into one to remove the duplication.
