Players are trying to stop YOU unlocking Prof Palin.

Be aware of the difference between sirius gov and sirius corp.
And Sirius Inc as well.
I like Sirius, don't get me wrong, it's just I can't remember who is who and who used to be and who cares about what.

What is flipped, can be flipped again.

This ^^

It might seem like shabby advice, but sometimes it's more efficient to "hurry up and wait".
Two teams battling it out over BGS assets are going to burn a lot of man hours grinding for a couple of percentage points.

It's sort of better to let the thing happen and then tidy up afterwards. BGS is an activity that plays out over months.

The main problem is that these people are nobodies.
No home system to wreck. No allegiance. They do not stand FOR anything.

Even SDC had a home to attack. These people are nothing.

When you have nothing to protect - you are worthless.

Im not directly involved in Operation Sirius Business, but I know the guys that are. These are very reasonable guys who are engaging with the story that is unfoldinging, open to working with others, and leaving path wats open to for people to unlock Palin. Just some comments:

- This is a multifaceted games, and people inevitably work againt you at some point. Not all PVP is combat, and even in solo, you cant avoid this.

- Far too few people are engaging with the story and lore. Well, people want money for ships etc, of course. Play your own game, but consider that others might have entirely valid reasons for plsying their way.

- Some things *seem* at odds with the lore. Needing to go via Qwent/Sirius to get to Palin seems strange to me.

- Player organised initiatives such as Wreaken, that took people months of work, dont seem to get an recognition from Fdev.

- Meanwhile, most CGs will complete in a few days, due to the cash payouts. This together with the last point just seem to reinforce the second point.

Anyway, the various opposition groups are slowly growing, and we now have a council of sorts to coordinate our activities. If you want to join us, we aren't to hard to find (there is a relevant logo below, for example).

Fight for what you believe in, not for money or trinkets.

Problem is, they work for the wrong side.

Sirius and Wreaken aren't saints, but they are those who supply the bubble with very needed things. Humanity needs to prepare for the possibility of an alien invasion. Opposing the corporations that build what could be our main defense is insane.

Trying to hurt Sirius at this point in time is very dangerous and hinders humanities chances in a potential war against a superior opponent.

Yes, we need to find out what is going on behind the scenes, but we should do that without hurting ourselves.

Nothing is more problematic for an organization than a group of individuals bound by a common goal. As you wrote, the usual responses of powerful organizations don't work against individuals.

Sadly those individuals are misled and their "just cause" is causing more harm that it helps. The only way to deal with such groups is to show them that they are wrong.

The ones who flipped Wolfberg are supposedly part of the effort to lockdown Sirius, and the player faction that is headquartered in Wolfberg has actually been killing quite a few of the instigators against Sirius, in a 'bigger fish' moment.

You might have good success in going hunting, a lot of the organizers are not actually PvP equipped or using advanced manuevers.

I can state officially that:

The *heroes* of Wolfberg are NOT involved in this sabotage. It is completely opposite to there ethos.

This is exactly why democracy is failing in real life. Stupid people cutting off their own noses to spite their faces. To expect people not to do it in a game where the consequences ultimately don't really matter, is to be an optimist of the highest order.

HEY! It's Pollycough.

All we need now is Jane Turner to weigh in with a target and some advice and this thing could take off.

Oh wait The Mad Bomber and his new mates aren't a legit Player Group with a homeworld.

And that's why such key elements must be protected from excessive tampering same problem as beginner systems. Otherwise its griefed just for the lulz.

Mind you! I said excessive and not all tampering.

I can assure you the "Mad Bomber" hasn't bombed anything in months. He's just all talk now, trying to live off his notoriety.

Sirius Corp has many enemies and the corporation itself doesn't come as crystal clean, good intentions corporation, based on their history. No surprise that there will be people trying to reduce their influence in the populated space.

What's the deal with MetaDrive Inc., Sirius? Are you gonna come clean about that? What are your ties to Thargoids? We know you're hiding something!

Let's see: MetaDrive had files labeled "Dynasty" - if anything MetaDrive knew something about Thargoids or that conspiracy. Sirius did what they usually do, trying to get hold of new technology by hostile takeover.

If you want answers you might want to ask those who supported MetaDrive.

I understand that it is a bit strange that the usual bad guy Sirius is in this instance not the real bad guy.

Well, but now Sirius also has the information. Maybe it's time to show a gesture of goodwill and share some knowledge? ;)

What they're planning and currently engaged in is having zero effect on Palin access. I did the whole thing start to finish last weekend while the stations were in Lockdown and still got the invite.

Hi DNA,
Janes advice would probably be the same as yours, Wait until they get bored and go in and clean up the mess[yesnod]

No backups? :D

Even then Sirius would only know what MetaDrive was working on, not why or for whom. Sirius just tried to get informations about something big. Why try to force Sirius to reveal the things they have if you could try to force those who actually are involved in this conspiracy to reveal the truth?

I guess attacking Sirius is just easier.
