Playing in VR - where do I put my stuff?!!

I have a modified gaming chair that has foldout platforms for the HOTAS and a mouse pad (not shown).

But for drinking and using a controller I hang them around my neck :) And the headset sits over the chair headrest when not in use

Another option is a drink holder for a bicycle hanging off one side (for long necked beer bottles).

First world problem indeed :ROFLMAO:

I'm fortunate to have a fairly good sized room for my setup so I use other furniture to store the VR and Hotas equipment when not in use. The trick is being able to switch your workspace into a sim/gaming space in say 5-10mins whilst keeping the room functional and presentable for others. The lighthouse tracking stations I have mounted on the wall and I just power those off when not in use.... cable is a bit messy but you get used to it after a while.
I've got a good sized room too, but I don't ge to keep it all by myself, because it's a park, and everyone else keeps spilling cheap sherry and special brew on my hotas and pc. I'm probably being too fussy.

Why, such a room reminds me of a spaceship, where as soon as you open the door already plunged into another reality, although it is not always possible to equip a separate room. And by the way, I feel much more comfortable with a mouse than with a trackball.

This is my modified rig. The "floating" kb is excellent albeit jumpy hehe. But l don't use the keyboard ingame at all except to plot a course.

I use self-adhesive low-profile trunking

It is easy to slide a thin, flexible, blade behind to remove it if changing things around, any remaining residue (it is like sticky foam) easily removed with a gentle solvent (alcohol based works well enough) Hides the wires and can be painted if required.
