Playing other games for 2 weeks

I'm just a few hours in but already loving it.
I realy like the special abilities like the Kick.
Just killed the first bounty hunter only level five but it was a good fight.
You now need resources too in order to upgrade your weapons and stuff, I like that, I thought only money was a bit to easy in Origins.
I'm curious about the naval combat too, loved it in Black Flag.

That's looking realy good!!
The world looks brilliant, I like it better already then Egypt which was a whole lot of desert but then again I like Greece in general, been there a couple times on vacation, Crete being one of the Islands and it's in the game too.
I'm in for quite some hours of fun, I was first reluctant to buy Odyssey, don't know why, but you guys turned me over, glad you did. :D

I'm loving it...one of my favourite moments from any game ever....when your character steals the obsidian false eye from the bandit boss. What he/she does with the eye (and the goat) in the lead up to the boss fight had coffee coming out of my nose [haha]

Love that there's some decent humour in Odyssey.

The ship combat is one of the reasons I went for this one and they've done it pretty good...as good as Black Flag I'd say with the ship upgrades and stuff :)

Since Black Flag a lot of AC fans complain about missing the "true" AC experience but a although I liked AC 2, brotherhood and revelation a lot I think the newer games like Black Flag, Origins and Odyssey are considerably better.
I realy love the new rpg style of the last two.

I never finished Rogue, it's backward compatible now so I'll give it another shot sometimes, the setting never grabbed me.
Syndicate and Unity are okay but weren't my favorites and AC 3 was erm,... depressing? at least the protagonist was...

Despite the critics about the last two not being true AC games I think Ubisoft has made a great move with the new rpg style and the ship combat.
Realy liking it a lot!!

I died on purpose so I could rewatch that goat scene. The look on your characters face and on Cyclop's .. HAHAHAHA!

The fact that I can customise my hero to how I want with the armour is one of the big ticket items for me in this game. I was thinking of trying to go all Spartan; but right now I just look like a Roman Legionnaire. xD

I've gone for the punky Spartan rebel thing...with chains :)

I was in the process of beginning another new game playing as Alexios this time and trying some different choices along the way. Odyssey certainly has 100's of hours of replay value...as well as being overloaded with quests, sub quests, mini quests and random encounters.

I like the tactical conquest events too once you decide between the Spartans or Athenians in each area, adds a bit of something different. I'm a bit of a Spartan groupie though, never trusted the Athenian and Thespian politicians historically since most of them sold out their own country for Persian gold previous to Thermopylae.

The small group of ex army mates, all of us combat veterans, I mix with in real life...we designed our sew on patch around the Hoplite helmet and the Greek phrase 'Adelphos' (brothers). It's quite an elite little band, being there's only 300 of us that were given the patch and there were deliberately no more patches made after the original run...so the Spartan theme of the patch kinda fits.

I should add that that little patch means more to the few of us that wear it than the considerable amounts of tin and ribbon we were ever given by the government.

The correct Spartan phrase for brotherhood of course is 'Philadelphia'...but I think that one was nicked by the gay rights movement ;)

I've already started an Alexios* play-through, and I'm using the pirate gear from Twitch Prime with the Hammer of Horns (2H-blunt) as my primary weapon. It's difficult because the attack is so slow, but it's really strong; will take some getting used to (lots of parrying, haha).

My goal is to be pure Spartan (except for current gear, haha). She is Spartan, she sides with the Spartans and helps them throughout the game. Want to see how that goes.
Alexios will play both sides as it suits him. He's basically a pirate; so lots of looting will be taking place. [yesnod]
My third play-through will be a young woman who sides with the Athenians. She hates Spartans and their barbarism after her father threw her from the mountain. :D

Very cool badge! Just don't go adopting any phalanx formations on the roads. :p

* Just my opinion, but I think his voice-acting is quite bad compared to Kassandra's.

Well I just got my ship and sailing around the Mediterranean Sea for the first time is just fantastic.
I think Odyssey might become my favorite AC title, the setting, the graphics, the combat, I realy like it that the enemies scale up with you in level.
I'm doing my first playthrough with Alexios, I like his dry humor and making fun of people.
The goat scene was hilarious, I got myself killed too just to see it again.

Untill now I'm impressed, I thought Odyssey would be a copy of Origins with other textures and story but it's a whole new game with a lot of nice additions like your ship.
I also like the wide range of variations in armor that you can get, you can look like a full armor Spartan or a Bandit, etc.

Your posts convinced me in buying Odyssey, thanks!!!
