Minti2

Deadly, But very fluffy...
Been playing the Last of us and in my honest opinion this is one of the best action games I've ever played. graphics and detail are amazing the dialogue is believable the music is atmospheric and the gameplay is all there.
the 10s that the reviewers have been giving this are justified.

Good stuff, being an Xbox man am really quite jealous that you have this game, from the reviews before release and clips to, it looks amazing!

Glad it wasn't all hype, am gonna just have to wait for Watchdogs instead!

LOL!

"OFFICIAL MICROSOFT RESPONSE Dodgy connection or No internet? Stick with the 360!"

in an interview that is quickly being taken down from youtube and a few other sites
probably taken down

Interesting - gone from Balmer saying “Xbox isn’t a gaming console.”

to in the vid above..

"it is at it's core - a games box"

That's the power of the interweb feedback - I am genuinely surprised at how wrong footed they appear to have been (so far) on this.

First of all I do like FPS a lot. My preference is from mindless shooting to mil sims.
Thus
Wii onrails shooters
Serious sam
Cod & BF
Sniper and OFP2
Milsimgames ofp1 arma arma2

Hate TPS.
But rpgfps is nice to.
Hate story i am the cutscene skipper.
Hate QTE
Hate endbosses.
Hate emotional drama.

Like weapons and right dosis of realism. wich for me is very wide.
Like gore to.

PS3 hardware is limited. But it depends on the computing needs a game requiers. Games can be very different in computing demands.

Example Blackops2 vs battlefield3 on PSn online.
Blackops looks decent 60fps in tight arenas.
BF3 large maps looks like crap. Because its computing budged is split over large distances destruction and larger player teams.

Corridor games wil still look nice on this old hardware.
But huge open area games not so.

Call of duty ghost online I would play on PS3 because there are my gaming mates.
Bf4 on PC or PS4. Alone online and singleplayer.
But with my mates on PS3.

Curently playing blops2 on PSN
New games.
Crysis3 PC
Metro lastnight.

I don't think the last of us might be something that I like. Its TPS survival horror. So limited in ammo that not my thing.

If in the US of A you get a zombie ish disaster where majoryty of people are dead or zomby. The excesive amount of weapons and ammo won't disapear only the people. The distribution might be extreem way out of balance. But no shortage of guns. Large comminties with a industral zone could produce still ammo. Guns not rare for some regions ammo could be scarse.

How ever in europe in my country having guns is a very rare thing.

Amazon facebook page is running a poll on PS4 vs. Xbone.

cant say I'm surprised at the results so far.

Lol at the Abbey Road crossing. Reminds me Command and Conquer Red Alert. For those wishing for Timesplitters 4, go tell Crytek that Bethesda have just proven it's viability.

PLaystation to PS2 to PS3 to PS4

Xbox to Xbox 360 to Xbox one

One thing that annoys me a lot in life is mindless spin putting on loads of things. To my mind MS have been doing that more than Sony. The naming of the consoles for playstation is no spin just a sensible number increase, however the Xbox is just so full of spin and I bet they had meetings with spin/marketing people over it.

some how I think they missed the fact that everyone is now calling it the X-BONE

I don't think they thought that one through enough.:D

Many hours into THE LAST OF US.

This game is fricking awesome. the story, the action, the fear of the infected, and the random dialogue that just happens from time to time really immerses you into the game.

IF you own a PS3 then this has to be one to own,

interesting fact: the game has made more money than the opening of Iron Man 3 in it opening week.

The Order 1886 looks very interesting. I love a bit of Steampunk.

I won't be getting a new console though unless the kids manage to break their record ( and the PS3 ) by getting more than 4 DVDs in the slot. I use it mainly as a BluRay player or iPlayer. Even then not often, certainly not enough to justify the expense.

the best BD player on the market is still the PS3, meaning that for a £140 you get a 3D BD Player, internet explorer, games console, Media centre and hdd storage. considering a standard BD player will set you back £60 that extra is money well spent.

Yeah, it was a no-brainer really. Wanted to get a BluRay to go with the monster plasma - as you say, best player with added games, Internet, media.

I have the original model, which is pretty chunky, but 'touch wood' it has never gone wrong, despite being abused by kids and not shut down properly by the missus.

Wireless not that great so I use a Develo.

Same with PS2 and PS1. Never had a fault. Same as home computers (iMacs)
Microsoft free zone, just works.

had 3 Eggboxes( if my slim goes wrong im not getting another) only ever had a issue with the PS1 over heating and that was replaced within 24hrs under guarantee, PS2 and my two PS3's haven't had an issue yet.

I had the 'laser drop' problem due to over heating... which became an issue when Tekken II came out

Don't know about the later models but the fat PS3 is an extremely noisy and hot BD player. In winter I can almost use it to warm the room.
I would suggest vacuming the vents if you dont already do that for dust.
Or take the case apart and clean the accumulated dust off the fan and other areas. it should not be noisy as a BD player, or even for games, though some games are more taxing on it than others and the fan will go to max. Some people say the thermal paste on the cpu is no good and should be redone on the fat models.
I think the slim are better for cooling somehow.
The super slim are terribly noisy, avoid completely if a disc is needed. They are ok apart from that. Its just disc noise.

agreed if your PS3 is becoming noisy that means your fan is working overtime to keep it cool. I opened mine up a few months back because it was getting loud,
