Something - which perhaps many of the newer Xbox players are not aware of - is that ED has a very immersive voice comms effects for player-to-player communication, being very close to how ISS-Ground or typical Apollo-Houston communications in real life sound(ed) like - which is also a bit like how NPC radio sounds sound in-game, like the station ATC when you ask for permission to land.
Here's an example of this system in action on the PC:

Believe me, it's not an added effect with the video edititing, but a feature that actually was IN THE GAME.
What many more people might also be unaware is that this feature HAS been present on Xbox , albeit for a ridiculous short time before it was unexpectedly removed without any explanation at all.
In a world of constant dull and lame clear as crystal voice comms sytems - such as the old funless Party chat in the Xbox (or Discord in PC) - it was really interesting to be able to enjoy of an immersive voice system like this in the game. If players disliked it, they could simply hop into a party like 90% of players do in pretty much every game anyway.
But for me, this voice system was one of the coolest features Elite had to offer, making me actively seek for other players and giving me a reason to interact with them - piracy, as an example, with voice comms could be one of the most fun activities to do - just check how awesome this interaction was:
(bit of "language" in the subtitles, you can turn it off though and only listen to the other player talking/yelling in despair).

Some more action with Voice Comms and a pretty fun video:

I'd really like to get some attention from the Devs regarding this and a possibility for us to either have this feature back or an option to turn it on/off.
Your sound engineers did a really great job with this, it shouldn't simply be ignored and tossed away like it was!
Thanks.
Archer.
