Ok, so i've started using the npc crew recently, mostly just to test it out and i have noticed two very GLARING and annoying things about them.
They have HUGE ego's that dont match the whimpering they do when under attack.
1) So i have had to hired a few npc's mostly i use them whenever i need some serious backup, since i only have one 'friend' who plays ED consistently and random people in Open tend to attract fire like a laser magnet.
and i have noticed that, and this annoys the heck out of me, pilots whoever they are brag, brag, brag about their accompliments. i dont know if this is suposed to make them seem more desirable so you hire them... but to me it makes them compleatly undesirable at any level below competent, mostly becuse they lie to your face.
Take this one for example:

Well thats all nice and well, except... you lie.
you were and imperial bounty hunter for ten years? But your Harmless... :S
You took down more Kumo Crew than you can remember? Your HARMLESS!!! maybe thats why you cant remember taking down any kumo crew! [mad] [down]
Harmless should have something like:
"(short intro of past life, no ego bragging...)
(followed by)
I'm very new to being part of a crew, but I promise to do my best to learn from you if you hire me, Commander."
See, no bravado about fake wars, crisis, or kill streaks that the pilot can or cant remember. Belivable.
The bottom part should change as the ranks progress in the crew lounge, AKA Harmless, mostly harmless and novice shouldnt be singing praises about their Prowess in battle. where's Competent, and above can as it is more believable.
2) Secondly, a novice and Below whining that they got a stray multi-cannon slug on their fully charged shield, sort of understantable since they are still fairly new and easily paniced. and Elite pilot screaming "Oh my god i took a single bullet, save me right now or im gona die!?!" nope, im sorry do you WANT me to blow you up myself to silance your cowardice?
TL;DR?
PLease fix Crew's sale's pitch. I'm not gonna hire an keep around someone (even an AI) that has such a huge ego and lies their butts off to my face.
And fix the responces to enemy fire, a single bullet shouldnt make an ace pilot scream bloody murder.
