Please fix the FSS minigame...

Lol, I feel your pain. Do you also get stared at by the missus because of the mouse clunking....I do, but I have learnt to ignore the daggers.

I'm only 30 and single lol. But it does get tedious. My area where i can play only has about a foot or two in any direction for mouse movement, now at 1000 dpi even in most of my shooters this isn't a problem, and it's not a problem for combat in elite since i have both pitch and yaw bound to mouse for aiming so that reticle is really nice to swivel around... but that FSS menu is tedious without mouse movement. All the people who are like "just bind it to keyboard" yeah I havent used keyboard only type controls for aiming since the 90s on the original Descent and Descent 2 on my 2nd to 5th grade schools computers. Standard mouse functionality in a menu, any menu, is common sense these days. If you have a nice HOTAS setup then hey, grats, I can't afford one or the space to put one sadly... and I don't wanna use a controller on my PC game. Standard mouse functionality is not unrealistic to ask for if we are gonna be stuck with this new system.

Adjust your settings. Play around with them. I know you prefer starting a thread to complain instead, but I have none of that 'two feet' room you speak of and still manage to play the game perfectly with my m+kb.
Best of luck to you anyway.

Actually, much as I like the FSS, a "relative" mouse mode would be a nice option.

Just like the way mouse mode currently controls ship flight. Center mouse to stop moving, pan away from center, movement continues in that direction until the mouse is centered.

Since the controls can map keys already used in another mode, I've been using the same directional mapped keys for my ship's thrusters for panning in FSS mode. Works well enough for me.
