Please help, cannot feed animals.

Am I missing something here? I have my first animals (Sable Antelope). I've made the habitat, everyone's happy. There's power, water filtration, keeper hut etc. But no matter what I try I cannot get food into the trough. He just wanders into the habitat, turns round, then wanders out.
Please help, I don't want my first animals to die.

Do you have the right feeder? Filter the feeders by the species, it should only show you the usable ones.

Also, in the beta there was a bug when if you put a food enrichment item in the habitat before you've put the actual feeder there, the keeper would only refill the enrichment item, but I would hope that one's resolved as it was quite a game breaker.

in my understanding it currently works like this: Initially your animals are well fed, so there's no reason for your zookeeper to feed them. As soon as they became hungry, he will start feeding them.

Just take your time and don't panic ;-)

Take out any enrichment food items and place a food tray. Click habitit on bottom UI and then look at the top panel in the box that pops up - hit the icon that looks like a pole with w triangle click species and then click sable antelope. Grab the food tray that shows in the box and use that one.

It was well known in beta that the keepers would not fill the food trays if they have filled the food enrichment items.

This could be the cause... Trees can block the animals path without it being obvious, use the hot map to check - its under Habitat - Traversable area and click the animal the blue is where they can walk.
They could be trapped since you added a tree, rock etc.

Im getting problems too, having added the correct feeder for the animal its showing up that i dont have a suitable feeder in the habitat content. This is in sandbox mode and has happened in 4 enclosures
