Yeah those federal ships can be tough nuts to crack. The corrosive shell is excellent for module sniping, although it needs to be level 5 overcharged to bypass those darstardly jitters or sniping is much harder. The materials for ammo synth are easily come by a swell if you don't mind the surface prospecting, making staying in combat for much longer viable.
