So flying Elite in VR is roughly 100x times better than I ever imagined, flying 'flat' feels like losing a full sense and is so limiting.
BUT - and you knew there was a 'but' coming - just how the frell am I to use the 3D star map? The nav panel only allows access to a limited number of star systems, usually well below the range of my can. Going into the 3D map certainly looks cool, but actually looking for a system? Without taking off the glasses and going back to mouse & keyboard (while holding the vive in a way that I can see the map, no less) this is a complete no-go. Unless, and I suspect this is the case, I'm just a silly old fool who is overlooking something obvious. So, please - anyone: can you please educate this ham-fisted noob on how to use the 3D map with the headset on?
Thanks,
-BK
