Please Improve Staff Gate Placement Options

With the recent update, coasters with separate load/unload stations now have to have a staff gate on the load station. I noticed however that the staff gate is only able to be on the same side as the guest entry gate. I think it would be very nice to have the ability to put the staff gate, and by extension the control panel, on either side of the station you want. I just noticed this because I just finished a pretty large coaster project and didn't think about a staff gate, because I was still used to the way planco 1 works. When I realized it was keeping me from opening my coaster, it kinda ruined my day because I really don't have anywhere I can put it with how I've done this build unless I can put it on the other side.

The whole station thing is absolutely... meh!
Loading/unloading is a desaster since PC1.
Just one train load of peeps inside the station but a huge space for the rows.

And if anybody is saying that staff gates are realistic even for exiting broken rides then just think about how peeps would enter the opposite side of a wing coaster, how to enter a suspended coaster or how to stop a log flume which is free floating in the station?

This is the last thing where I would start to argue with realism.

Wasn't really talking about if it's realistic or not. I just can't open my coaster because I can only put a staff gate on one side of the station and it's the side with all the theming and queue pathing already done

Maybe then you could also use smaller staff-gates (also available to place at the sides of the platform) so that the employees can reach the other side using a bridge. Then it would be cool if you could assign an extra or multiple employees to help people getting safely in and out of the cars and to offer an extra experience or the feeling of hospitality. They could stand on the other side with the guests. 🙂 It would be handy or nice to have the options to easily create smaller paths for employees too!

I don't think there is a smaller staff gate. You click "place staff gate" and it just goes into staff gate placement mode just like placing entrance and exit. There aren't really options for it. But even if there were smaller staff gates, there still isn't room in this build, I really need them to make it possible to place it on the opposite side of the station.

Edit: I do think they should add smaller staff gates tho too. It is wierd how wide they have to be.

Yeah, two options would be nice for the staff-gates’ width and they could make the option to change the station platforms’ width. Then all is solved for those issues or new opportunities in general :)

This was meant to others in general.

All staff should be able to enter a ride via the queue line. So there's no need for an extra exit at the load station. And no, realism is not existing here. Otherwise coasters would stuck on lifthills or at brakes if there’s a breakdown (then the catwalk at lifthills would make even more sense)...

It's really annoying how they've done a lot of stuff. And now we are more limited than before (path width > why can't we get all path widths to all types as we are able to manipulate them afterwards?
I haven't figured out even one thing in the game that appears to be finished. It doesn't matter where I'm looking at... It's just frustrating!

Quick question:
How can I change the ground (path) inside a station?

Ah I see, and I will say in my case, if I were staff on my coaster, I would much prefer there to be a staff gate on the plaza side of the station cuz using the queue would be so annoying cuz the way I've designed it would make staff have to walk the entire queue, but they should be able to do so cuz like... it is a path. But if staff gates are required for split stations I would like to be able to put it on the other side cuz I have a whole plaza right there on the other side of the wall it could connect to, but no, it has to be on the entry side where I got no room. TnT

Also I was gonna say you can use the path paint brush, cuz i coulda sworn I've done that before, but then I went and tested it to make sure and apparently not. I thought I'd done that before but maybe not cuz idk how else you do that.

In real life it makes sense. There often exist hidden staff entrances...
Yea, I suppose that depends on the park though. I'm not used to that kind of thing at the parks I have access to. Parks near me mostly have staff use guest paths. But in the case of this ride, I started building it before the split station update, and so there is a plaza right behind the wall because originally that was where the exit was going to be so it just makes sense for me to put the staff gate there instead, I even put a door for decoration for pretend "staff access" before the update was announced, so I literally just happen to have a perfect place for it but sadly I cannot =n=

Yes, it's too bad....

Because of the state of the game I'm still in my very first sandbox exploring how everything is working (how it might work without all the issues). I won't start to build up a park until the game is working fine...
