Is it possible to get the route plotter to use your 'fumes' range? And if so, how?
I have not had the time to engineer a bigger jump range that around 41 LY for my Anaconda. But when my fuel tank is fairly empty, and thus my ship is lighter, I can jump a few LY further. I am about to cross a 5K LY gap that needs jumponium/higher range frequently. Can I get the route plotter to take this into account, or am I stuck with plotting a few jumps at a time? I have tried to use the route plotter with my tank less than half full, but did not notice any difference - though, of course, I may have just been unlucky.
That said, I have never jumped on 'fumes'. How do I do it? According to the jump range slider, my range at the moment is 43.41 LY. But in the galaxy map, if I select a system 42.31 LY away, it does the jump in two hops. Am I missing something?
