Polar bear missing Asia tag

Hello, I just found another problem with the polar bears: they don't have the Asia tag despite the map clearly showing that they live all over the north of Russia in Asia. In the Zoopedia, it says they only live in NA and Europe. This also means that if we go to the foliage tab on the animal window, we don't have the button for activating the Asia filter.

I posted it on the issue tracker, so if you want to contribute to add some realism to this poorly treated animals, you are very welcome 🐻‍❄️

Someone already contributed on the issue tracker, but we still need more people 🙏

I had added this to my thread the week after the Arctic pack was released, but I guess it went unnoticed. Glad someone else stepped up as well. I've contributed to your Issue Tracker report. Btw, I have a comprehensive continent tags thread coming up, for all animals missing or having wrong continent tags.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to your tag thread. I've noticed there's a big chaos regarding North/Central/South America tags too.

One person in the Issue Tracker has said this could be intentional by design if Russia as a whole is considered to be in Europe by Frontier, but this can't be true because a lot of Siberian foliage in the game like Dahurian Larch and Scots Pine have the Asia tag. In that sense Siberian Tigers would be Europe too. The game should follow geographical boundaries, not political. In that sense Alaska would only be a few kilometres from Europe.

That doesn't make sense. Then the reindeer, which came in the same pack as the polar bear, shouldn't have the Asia tag either.

Anyway, does anyone know how many contributions are needed so that the issue tracker changes the status to "confirmed"? We already have 5 (but keep them coming!).

Exactly my point. (y)

Did forget about the reindeer though. I could recall several plants and Siberian tiger.

This issue will be fixed in the next patch, but here's a few screens showing how the front-end globe already divides Russia into two - Asian and European Russia, with the Asian side dwarfing the European side in terms of area covered. This combined with the announcement probably shows the missing tags weren't even intentional in the first place.
