Ok so first of all, I just want to say, that I am really enjoying this game, even in its current state. I do not feel slighted, or cheated. It's fun. It looks good, feels good, sounds amazing. However, everyone here who has played a while knows it has issues. So perusing the forums over the last few days, I've come to realize a number of distinct and important issues with the current build. All of these issues need to be dealt with as soon as possible. It is imperative that they are so the player base doesn't dwindle so early on.


Background simulation: Judging by a few of the efforts going on, it seems clear that there are issues with the supposed "dynamic" universe aspect of this game, which for me is one of the most important issues of the entire game. I want this to work, badly. We all do I am sure. If there aren't issues with this system at the moment, and it's working as intended, then FD at least needs to acknowledge this as another thread mentions. They need to make it clearer what has to happen to influence. TBH, I believe it's probably just "broken" at the moment. For instance, in 78UM we should have at least seen Alioth independents influence change by now. I should for instance have at least seen Alioth Independent's influence go from 11.9% to 12% or something when checking the system map. That has not happened, or at least has not appeared to. To me, this is the most important issue so my vote goes here as all other features more or less depend on the dynamic evolving nature of the game world in which we are endeavoring to participate in. Without this system working, the whole game just falls apart. Without this system, the lore doesn't matter. I can just go play Freelancer.

Lack of adequate group play/social features: This one is simple and according to the devs is in the works. Which is good. It still dumbfounds me why such features weren't already prioritized but as long as FD makes good on their promise, and soon, I'll be content. It definitely should be up there on the "to-do" list if it isn't already.

Difficulty: Honestly, the game hasn't been too hard, or too easy for me, but then again I'm probably just an average player. I'm not rich. My personal assets are only around 1.4 million cr. I do find it weird that some NPCs seem to not be equipped with shield generators, but I guess that's on them for being stupid pilots. I mention this mainly because I've seen so many people complaining about the difficulty level. For me this one is important, but it's not as big of an issue at the moment. I do agree that shield cells probably could use a nerf.

USS Mechanic: While I'm not one of those who wishes to see this mechanic completely removed, it does need tweaking. It does need to be fleshed out. There are many discussions and ideas about how to do this which I will not elaborate on here.

Misc issues/bugs: The game has quite a few of these. Most are minor annoyances, but do serve to wreck the experience at times. A few examples are but not limited to the following:

*Text bugs in missions
*Bounties not being properly reflected
*The annoying audio stuttering/static at times, usually near dock.
*rubberbanding, saw this a lot when first starting out in LHS 3447, not so much around 78UM.

Any other issues you guys think are more important, just vote in the "other" section and describe below. Perhaps this can give the devs some idea of what the community thinks is most important surrounding the game at the moment and allow them to focus their efforts.

They NEED to fix the bugs. I am sick and tired of jumping into a system, looking at the star RIGHT in front of me, hitting my advanced discovery scanner and having NOTHING happen or take 30 seconds to a full minute for it to even register. Or even better having it say Data Corrupt try again. Today there were 6 systems that happened to me in. One hat 58 objects and it took almost 10 minutes to just get the main scan to register them after repeated attempts. They have to fix what is the most crucial part of the game imho. We all jump from one system to the next and not being able to consistently see what is there makes the game unplayable.
 
I'd have voted, except I think the most pressing issue isn't on the list.


That is, getting rid of the forum posters that inundate the forums with negative threads, when the reality is they are either just hoping to make the game fail, or simply don't understand what they are talking about.

I voted social features. Gosh, I love social features in games. Especially when it contains sitting a long time in a space ship doing nothing but fly straight. No need to rush the rest if you ask me.
 
it doesn't need increasing otherwise it would make exploration pretty much impossible due to the damage you take when getting interdicted

I think it just needs to be a low-chance in Fed/Empire systems, slightly more in independent/alliance systems, and significantly higher in anarchies.
