ship transfer better be instant, there's a lot of other things in this game that are instant / dont make plausible sense

instant teleporting 400+ TONS of cargo to your ship
instant teleporting back to station once you die
multicannons and lasers dumping heat into your ship
and a multitude of other things

Hello Commander CMDR Pugwash!

The delivery time would be a minimum of around five minutes, representing basic logistics of getting your ship loaded into a bulk carrier, followed by an additional time cost per light year to be travelled. The ballpark we are looking at would mean a delay of around 100 minutes if you transfered a ship from one edge of human space to the other (around 300 light years).

Using my Pidgin back of a ciggie packet maths, that makes about 5 days to Jaques, which I think is reasonable; if Jaques is even on the end of the bus route?

THIS is something smart :) Thx

Why won't you make both options viable with a price tag on the transfer depending on distance?

Longer distance = more expensive to instantly transfer.

Let players pick how long they want to wait and let them pay accordingly.
It will give the advantage to those whom have lots of credits.

It would also be interesting to see what the costs are and how they are worked out.

Also: In this cut-throat galaxy; what is the risk of loosing said ship, during transport, like any other cargo?

Bulk carrier eh? When do we see these flying around and how do they dock.

Oh, and how much is one?

I have a question for those that think it shouldn't be instant: What would non-instant ship transfer add to the gameplay that instant transfer doesn't? Would you seriously be ok with halting game sessions for literally no other reason than "immersion"?

Is this seriously an issue still? Why are we still griping about this, just let it be instant. There's a minority griping about time, but what about people that don't voice themselves because they don't know or whatever. Just let it be nice Gameplay. And let this thing die like it should have weeks ago...

And the time limit will be increasing over distance unlimited, so transferring to Jaques will take a day or two?
