Poll / Question : over your CMDR's Career, what's your income per hour?

You are correct to some extent, but your rant is largely missplaced, as your final statement is incorrect.

As I detailed, there are many costs that cannot be accounted for (listed many examples), but you can account for a lot of it by adding in your expenses that have not been related to ships our outfitting. For most this will not make that much of a difference, but depending on how much you've paid in bounties/fines and to crew members it could be quite a lot. These expenses can safely be added to income total.

If you want to see a rough breakdown of your income by source, you'll subtract the sum from all your income sources from your total calculated income.

The biggest missing piece is money lost when reselling ships & modules.

In order for it to be apples to apples for all of us, it needs to be net worth / hrs played. Then we can have some numbers to compare. It may be possible to parse through more data and come up with a more accurate number, but unless all of us do that, it's not going to be apples to apples and then the whole exercise is just posting a bunch of unrelated numbers.

What you have, how you got it and what adds up are irrelevant. The only two important numbers are the total assets and the number of hours played. Divide one by the other. Bear in mind, though, that if you did a reset/clean start, the hours will be the total time played since first launching the game, so include all the commanders, but the assets are only since the last reset because you lost the assets you had when you reset.

Except for the fact that I can easily quantify 11% of my income that isn't captured by my current assets. It is only around $110,000,000 but that is more than enough to purchase and fully outfit a Fer-de-lance, which was one of my first CR-related major accomplishments. It can be easy to forget how long it took to hit that $1mil cr mark for the first time.

Based on the rate at which I resale and purchase ships and modules, and how many times I've transferred the few ships that I maintain, I suspect that there is easily another 20% of total income missing.

It would be neat to see this data over time since I started, because it does become exponentially easy to earn CR, though due to the nature of the game (long exploration hauls, "grindy" stuff) it can be easy to lose track of time and perspective on how much I've actually earned and at which point.

I stooped making money at 700M Cr.

Right now i just chill on my small ships and have uber fun doing fights agains Bigger NPCs and Players... it's not about CR/Hr It's about skill for me... People bragging about their income in a game that has WAY TOO MUCH GET RICH schemes... it's laughable for me.

23 Weeks 4 Days 7 Hours (approx.)

Available credits: 1,112,000,000 (Approx.)

280,000 Credits/hour (approx.)

Obviously I've spent more time exploring than making credits.

Unfortunately we don't have the accurate earnings number for our commander, only the current assets and spendings on ships and outfitting. When you've played long enough it's impossible to know how much of that has turned into loss on ship sales. Anyhoo, if I add my current assets with the four R's (rebuy, rearm, refuel and repair) I get 5,226,065,694. I'm not going to add anything for a guesstimate on what I've lost on ship revenue, but I suspect that number is in the several hundred millions as those two numbers adds up to 13.2 billion for me. My played time is 24 weeks 1 day and 5 minutes.
So, using the known numbers my career earnings should be 1,288,478 credits per hour. Only counting assets I get 1,202,426 cr per hour.
(with "a few" billion worth of star maps stored on my ship flash drive :D )

Been playing 80 days as of about right now.

718M Cr, 667 Hrs in game, 1.08M cr/hr

Which is about what I would quote for my avgs. At current 5-7M for doing missions (although pretty recently started making that), 1-2M for exploring, 1-2M for CG's, 0 for exploring/research and engineering, haven't done much combat yet but would say about 1M, mining maybe 300K. and then toss in a few hours of nothing (waiting for things, map orientation, etc)

What I would like to have a number for is how much I have spent in donations, I suspect alot.

This: (check right Panel Statistics and divide your Total Assets by Hours Played)

Wouldn't work for me as I have 900 million in rebuys :)
