Greetings!
We already know from the journal that there are landfall planets with either low or high volcanic activity. However, we don't really have any in-game mechanic to identify this.
Since we know that the way sound works in the game (translating hull vibrations into audible sound), would it be possible to have some audio feedback as a hint for this?
For instance, we land on a planet, shut down the engines and start to listen carefully. We start hearing the ground rumbling. The rumbling audio (+ controller vibration?) intensity could give us a hint of the degree of volcanic intensity on said planet.
In my opinion, This could also bring some more life to non-atmospheric planets, while also weaving into the existing planetary gameplay.
I'd love to hear your opinions on this.
Have a good one!
