Possible serious issue

Issue resolved, folks, nothing to see here, move along.....

I don't want to start a panic, but....

When I logged out my new Cmdr on Sunday I had 3 systems I couldn't cash in as they weren't 20ly away. About 25kCr which is a lot when you're starting out.

I've logged back in today after the 2.1 launch and that data has gone. I've raised a bug report here, but please if you had data you were waiting to sell go and check it's still there and start shouting if it isn't.

I'm really hoping I was just unlucky, but please check just in case!

Another cmdr reported also the same at the patch note thread.
I seriously hope that this is just some temporary hickup..

My system maps from 2.0 are still visible. The bubble is 60 kylies away so if it isn't showing up in UC I'll not find out for a long time....

I haven't checked any system maps yet, been more concerned with other changes like FOV settings that don't affect the menus, a hud clock that's an hour slow and the planet sounds in sysmap seem different from 2.0, or at least I can't seem to set up the audio the same as 2.0.

Looks like I'm going back to the game computer to check system maps now, got 2K systems scanned (39KLy out) which I don't really want to go missing as I'm out doing ELW/AWs. Happy days :D

Edit: A couple of previous scans seem fine so I'm happy they're all ok.

In-game time has always been UTC, so that's an hour behind BST. It's just more obvious now.

I did go in and out of the game several times trying to get the FOV to apply to the menus but that seems to be gone. Which is a shame.

That''s ridiculous, I don't use UTC IRL so why do I want it in my face in game. Renders the clock useless IMO and needs a toggle to get rid if desired.

Are you for real?
UTC means the time is always constant, no need to wonder if daylight savings is in effect our not.....news flash.....the game is played globally. Those of us in other countries don't need to figure out if you're in summer or whatever and no adjustment of time needed for meet ups.. In game time is the same in game time for everyone.

LoL. I just don't want it there in the hud which I could have explained better :)

Aah, ok. Haven't seen the update yet (and won't till Monday at the earliest), but I can imagine the clock being in your face is annoying. Sounds like it should be a toggle option.

I have to deal with clocks in different timezones, often not explicitly mentioned ones, all the time - from emails at work that might be timestamped in Tokyo, Geneva or New York to the clock on the outside wall next door that they leave on BST and so is an hour ahead when it's not day light savings in the UK. I adjusted to one more almost immediately.

(It's in the top right of the HUD at the other end of the title bar that has INFO at the left hand end)

Well I parked up on Wednesday night in Caucuma & I had around 2 mils worth of data on board my ship.

Iv just checked in on my ship & it's all accounted for & waiting to be sold.

I have noticed though that when I finished on Wednesday, my Rep with both the Feds & the Alliance was around 82% Allied with both.......now I'm only 82% Friendly with both.
So looks like the new Cordial setting doesn't squeeze in between Neutral & Friendly, but replaces Friendly & Friendly replaces Allied, so Allied is now a newer higher Rep Rank.

I love that the clock displays UTC. I play with folks from across different timezones. I also use UTC at work so I'm used to making the adjustment. For real though, it would be nice it the clock displayed my local time AND UTC.

Had a roughly similar issue to the OP after logging into 2.1 for the first time. Not exploration data, but all pending Tarnsactions - CG info and bounties - were gone. Back again a few minutes later. I guess this is just a database synchronisation issue, i.e. all the CMDR related data will have to be migrated (on the server) from 2.0 to 2.1 the first time you log into 2.1.
