These aren't that rare, but nice T6 you have CMDR.![]()
Thanks! We've been trucking along for a couple of days together on my first real expedition, headed outwards towards the edge steering clear of anything of significance. I made it about 2200ly out before regretting not bringing my buggy. Anyway, what constitutes "close", then? 5Mm is the closest I've seen and it looked pretty damn weird.
Here's a pretty picture of three suns in pretty close proximity.

Take a look at this pair. A trio actually:

I landed on a 20mm ice giant with an eccentric orbit (0.9 or so) one week ago, and stayed put until it passed by about 2-3 ls away from the its L star. I even made a gif which was deleted (?) from makeagif.com... I will try to remake it at home, it was quite a spectacle - but not very realistic.
Parts of the planet were glitched and glowing red from orbit.
There's a thread listing all the largest planets found. you should totally report this one to itHuge 20Mm radius Ice World 37.5ls

Please do, sounds fantastic. And yes 20mm is a bit small![]()
i recently came across a system with a gasgiant (ringed class 3) and some moons (3 hmc's, 1 ringed icy and 4 ringed class 1 gas giants):
and landed on the moon ofc.:
I certainly haven't seen anything like this...
