Power plant

I have no idea why FDev decided to stop allowing Experimental effects on CG modules.

It worked, everyone was happy, we had choice, we had fun. Oh wait... 😜
God mode made modules dont work as there not just Grade 5 C&P clones ;) so server cant upgrade them so server crashes out... (y)
So instead of not making god mode modules any more  they want to Disable Experimental which crash out server (y)...

They worked just fine before ;-)
Yep when using Copy and paste Grade 5 items..
There not using copy and paste grade 5 items There going beyond Grade 5 With god mode builds... Not using grade 5 40% then using god mode 60% and that does not exsist in the Server engineering list... so crashes server.
The simple fix is for them to not use god mode and return to Copy and pasting grade 5 data and not go beyond.
Fdev choice is to not do Copy and paste any more so experimental will not work...

So what are those PP's? Correct me if I wrong - a regular g5 overcharged ones without ability to add an experimental effect?

I don't have them personally so can't comment from experience, but from what I've been told by squadmates, they provide a wee bit more output than a standard G5 PP, but with the thermals of a G4.

Of course, that goes out the window if you can't apply thermal spread to them.

The one thing I haven't been able to find no matter where or how I search is the simple answer to the question: where the hell do I even get my power plant reward? I'm embarassed to even ask because i've been EDing for years and can't figure it out for the life of me.

Means that those PP are practically useless for some ships? (without possibility to add special to reduce heat down) ... heat efficiency worse as guardian variant. I will try 4A on my vulture (where already have guardian variant), and see if is usable at least on some ships.
It works beautifully for the Vulture and enables previously impossible builds. Same goes for the size 3 on a Viper III. Both ships can handle the heat. I still haven't found a use for the size 5 though, There's no ship with a size 5 plant requiring so much power, and I have no need to undersize the plant on any size 6 plant ship.
