Powerplay Assignment Objective not working

I'm playing solo and attempting to fulfill the following objective:

"Recover Association and Political Data from the Ross 345 System"
"Obtain 10 units of Association and Political data from Ross 345 to Warnates"

I have collected said Power data from several different Odyssey settlements' data points in Ross 345, a rival system to Warnates, and handed them into the Power contact at multiple stations in Warnates both before and after logging out and back in to no avail. The counter has not yet incremented towards the progress goal.

Am I missing something?

Due to an unspecified exploit, Odyssey data downloads currently don't provide merits until a more permanent fix can be provided.

Apparently in this case this also stops it counting towards mission completion.

Thanks for the detail, this would certainly explain it! I guess this is why data in general is not earning Merit points which took me even longer to realize.
