Are you set on CV1......I'm hoping to see my DK2 to the death then decide on OR or Steam

Problem is, will the DK2 be compatible once the CV1 is released? With it being a dev kit they don't have an obligation to support it once the consumer version is out, just like a lot of the DK1 stuff wont work on the DK2 now. I think the DK2's will be pretty much useless very soon.

Most likely won't be compatible with CV1 SDK, no point in it. That said, selling my DK2 would effectively mean I stop playing ED. Still a long time to go for CV1 release, your patience impresses me.
Its not just that, I want the extra resolution + settings in VR that the 980ti's + CV1 will give
.... I'll wait.... taps fingers......

Sold my DK2... upgrading to 2x 980ti's in sli (depending on what AMD come up with in the next few weeks) and waiting for CV1 ............. ^_^ patience.. Hopefully ill get a bargain in a few months when all the prices have come down
AMD's product may not be as good as everyone was thinking, again only speculation but I'm sure he mentions flagship model in this short preview

i get the feeling the new AMD isnt upto scratch from the bits of info trickling through BUT why would nVidia release the 980ti at those specs and at that price effectively killing the titan x just a few months after release? maybe they know something. ...

Seriously, probably a wise decision but I couldn't bear to get rid of mine, not with potentially no VR til early next year (dependant on vive)
Good luck with the 980ti's. I'm hoping to get one when they come in stock, as I really want to run 2.0 Super sample with smooth frame rates. Plus I think a single 980ti should deal with the CV1 quite well, whereas my 970 will no doubt struggle.
Got to do a bit more creeping round the wife first but I think I'm getting there..
Edit: I'd have thought if the new offering from AMD was going to be any good, they'd leak some specs already, to make people wait for theirs as apposed to buying a ti. Surely as they haven't its a sign that the ti is better? I dunno.

Have to drop most things down to low (detail slider on full though) to get 75 in stations. That is at 1.5 SS though which seems to have a huge impact on frame rate. No probs with 75fps on mostly high settings at 1xSS

Although an amazing experience I have to look ahead 8-9mths... Selling the DK2 now more than half paid for a 980ti, ill be glad i haven't got a £300 8mth old DK2 sitting in a cuboard collecting dust when the CV1 is out

I am definitely keeping mine. It will be worth a lot to my grandchildren, still have a C64/Amiga and Atari ST. All in pristine condition! Am fairly certain collectors will pay a good price for them in a few decades
Exactly the same here, I'm also sitting on a load of vintage boxed computers including the complete collection of Ultimate play the game catalogue for the Zx Spectrum. The DK2 will go into storage once the retail products become available and hopefully one day be a little bit of pocket money for the kids or grandchildren after I'm gone

Lots of good things about dk2 and 1.3 in the vr forum. I can't wait but will have to...... Sunday at least for me
