PP 2.0, Archon Delaine and Notoriety

If anyone has reached -100% Own Bounties level in Archon Delaine with Powerplay 2.0, can anyone confirm whether or not they get notoriety at this level? Not only do they not get bounties in their own Powerplay territory, they also don't get notoriety at all? Or does the notoriety rate drop by 50% when they get 50% bounty at lower levels? Or is notoriety completely independent of bounty and related to the number of people killed?

At R100 No bounties, no notoriety, no fines.

It's like every Delaine's system is anarchy.

<R100 only bounties are reduced (notoriety is same).

All the more reason to oppose the deranged madman.

It's novel and fits roleplay well. But is it really that helpful? You're probably going to end up with notoriety anyway from undermining, right?

What happens if you pick up Notoriety outside of Delaine's sphere? Would be cool if the stations under his influence ignored it, but I somehow doubt they do.

Undermining only attracts bounties and not notoriety (from local factions) but unfortunately if the same faction is present in one of Delaine's systems the bounty stays up (that means we have to clear it)... 🤷‍♂️ honestly FDEV came out taking the worst possible decision in eliminating the old PP1 powerplay bounty system and collapsing it to the local factions' ones.

This has been also discussed elsewhere, but as you can imagine that's not the way the C&P for powerplay 2.0 should work. 👆

While its fun FD really need to rethink as bit because (just as PP1 had issues) the bonuses are half baked.

The King needs something like this: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/archon-the-king-tm-bonus-balancing.629094/

It would be unrealistic for there not to have a Bounty outside of Delaine's systems, because these systems are not under his control, he has no say there. But please correct me if I'm wrong, there are a total of 584 systems in his Powerplay area. This area is large enough for those who choose to live in it.

For open-minded freedom fighters who want to liberate people from the selfish and cruel oppression of governments, fighting in the border systems, getting 4-5 notorieties, then returning for a while, dealing with various paperwork and then returning to duty doesn't sound too bad.

Correct, but we do see (in general, not only for our Power) as an unpractical downside the fact that local faction bounties (and not poweplay bounties) are issued when undermining (as undermining is a specific powerplay related activity).

For all that the opinion is worth, I would agree as a non-Powerplay(er) that getting bounties from a local faction makes less sense than getting one by the power itself, but then I'm asking myself the question if it would actually end up having any impact compared to the local faction bounties.

I do see the upside of not having the bother of a minor faction bounty due to Powerplay activities, when you are not present because of Powerplay in a system you previously obtained one. (Or are not doing naughty stuff that involves shooting)

Yeah, I run into the issue of having to pay off bounties in my own territory a lot because I catch local faction bounties undermining, and (at least in Kaine's territory) those minor factions where I'm undermining are in charge of many systems, which makes it annoying.

On one hand, it seems silly and counterintuitive, and it's two game systems colliding with each other. On the other hand, I could see the local faction would view local power-aligned security, couriers, etc., as their own citizens (maybe even friends, family, etc.) living in and as part of their territory so they should be upset that you're killing these people (although that viewpoint really only works as long as power control is not considered a hostile takeover).

In the end, though, regardless of if that stance makes sense, I'd prefer gameplay accessibility to take the forefront.

Currently, I don't know if power-aligned NPCs ever actually attack you. I have never been preemptively attacked by an enemy power. Thus, I would propose that killing power-aligned ships should give you power bounties as they did in PP1. Enemy power ships should, when you have any bounty by their power, be immediately hostile. And to be clear, by that I specifically mean red-radar-blips like you're in a CZ hostile, not "they happened to scan your ship because you sat still for it to happen and found out you're an enemy" hostile.

Indeed, I'd be 100% with such... the most annoying part is losing REP with some factions as me (as well as many others) still do some BGS for certain factions spreaded across systems belonging to different powers.

But then The King™ is the literal king of crime who you'd think would have many fingers in many pies all over.

Its totally logical for Archons bonus to at least partially apply (or some facet of it) in places and govs that allow black markets- and it would also act as a locus for criminal elements that are frankly undercooked to salmonella inducing levels across the game.

You're right. I overlooked the fact that some open-minded senators and high-ranking judges have emotional sympathies for Arkon and may pressure the local government to fix the corrupted political order.
