PP Frag Cannons or a Mining Lance?

Greetings,

I've been collecting Power Play weapons already having the Cytoscrambler, Imperial Hammer, Pack Hounds and of course the Prismatic shields. Should I go with the Pacifier Frag Cannons - Zachary Hudson or the Mining Lance - Zemina Torval? I do love Frag Cannons on my Corvette but being combat Elite I haven't done combat in a long time. Still I could help others using them. I'm mostly a trader.

Maybe the Mining Lance on my dedicated miner Python docked on my 'Apocalypse JHW-G8Z' fleet carrier in case I ever go into the black looking for Tritium. Which one would you pick? Maybe I should flip a coin.

Regards

I'd personally go with the Pacifiers - as far as I've read they're pretty excellent and are next on my own list. I've also read the Mining Lance is basically crap, and not worth the waste of a month.
Hope this helps!

I went with Zachary and the Pacifiers. It maybe awhile before I leave the bubble gathering up all the Power Play toys. Meanwhile my current mining lasers do just fine.

Thanks for the inputs.

I used to have 8 mining lances on a cutter, total garbage, slow in work, distro heavy, generates tons of heats, only advantage is ramge of 2km. dont even bother using them on smaller ships, you will only lose time and nerves.

Mining lances are only useful as a sample tool to check materials contained in asteroids without wasting prospectors. I keep one on my mining cutter.

I never went past 4 standard mining lasers (trying them) figuring only two at best were efficient on a Python. Early I liked a Clipper for mining until new mining toys showed up. The Clipper couldn't install them all. Then only two mining lasers were needed while I went with other ordinance per surface weapons, drilling into an asteroid and eventually blowing one up. Even then knowing the mining lasers are on the bottom of the list probably new players checking out mining.

Of course it took Frontier three months to fix the bugs in mining. We'll see how that works out going to a triple hotspot and finding what we want is actually there. We'll see. With the next major update what will take another three months to fix it?

Be prepared to deal with the next bugs. Given Frontier's history with every major update you will have to deal with them. Knowing how to play the game helps.

Regards
