Truth be told, I did pre-order, I'm kinda regretting it and debating getting a refund, maybe never buy the game later either. I probably won't do any of that and stay the course but I have to be honest. I've never considered refunding before. (I'm not complaining, I have the money to spend on it, so it's not a loss to me either way. I understand most people don't have this luxury.. My issues go a bit deeper than just shallow price tagging)
I purchased primarily for the beta but without any knowledge on when that beta is coming, it seems like an empty promise. When is it? Is it a few months before for public beta or is it like a week of early access? Without clarification, it seems misleading. I'm fine with either or, but I want to know what I'm buying access for because for some people, that can make the difference.
The three additional animals are nice but not worth the 10 extra dollars alone, maybe 5, and I'm not getting them with the beta, only at launch so that raises the question for the beta again, when is that? Is it a ways out to justify the price tag or is it shortly before launch because it's kinda cheap that they're not specifying the kind of beta it is.
Then there's Frontier's attitude recently. I hate to badmouth people in general (And this is not intended to be) but this really bothers me because I feel attacked for something I didn't do, all I did was bring attention to a fake leak (Which I did NOT make, I just found) with the intention of finding out if it was real confirmation from Frontier or not, I didn't know and wanted to see if anyone else knew more about it than me. Then a community manager (Who will remain nameless because I still have respect for them, rightfully they should have lost it after this.) decides to answer my question in the most passive aggressive way possible. Like it's not my fault some jackass out there is impersonating a Frontier Employee and someone else (Me) is bringing it attention to find out the truth regarding this, so pretty much be passive aggressive to the messenger and a loyal consumer, that's the way to go. Was it a mistake on my part to do this, Absolutely and I do apologize for it but bringing attention to an impersonator spreading fake information isn't my fault when it's not me impersonating somebody. This alone made me cynical to both Frontier and their games. I lost all hope in Planet Zoo, Jurassic World Evolution, and Planet Coaster because of this one incident, because if this is how Frontier treats their consumers for just asking harmless questions about legitimacy, not intending to spread misinformation, I don't know what else to say except for this, whenever I run these games, I'm reminded of how little Frontier really thinks of you as a consumer because this is the first thing that comes to mind when that Frontier logo pops up.
If you ask me, do what you want but it's a hard NO from me.
