Summary
System: Reorte
Station: Davies High (Orbis Starport, large pads available, 374 Ls from main star, 117.32 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Deliver Advanced Medicines, Skimmer Components and Building Fabricators
Time limit: 31st March 3308 @ 06:00 UTC

Description
Deliveries to Reorte Mining Coalition will determine the system’s future status.
The system’s controlling faction wishes to declare independence, in protest against Sirius Corporation’s proposed anti-xeno defence pact with the Alliance Defence Force.
Reorte Mining Coalition’s CEO Fergus Cassidy announced:
Prime Minister Mahon’s insistence on working with Sirius leads us to believe our interests are best served outside of the Alliance. To prepare for Reorte’s potential transition to an independent system, we ask for shipments of advanced medicines, skimmer components and building fabricators to be delivered to Davies High starport.
It is expected that if Reorte Mining Coalition is successful, all systems currently under its governance would similarly be classified as independent.
The dual initiatives begin on the 24th of March 3308 and will run for one week. Should the campaign to support Reorte Mining Coalition reach the maximum tier it will end immediately.
To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before delivering Advanced Medicines, Skimmer Components and Building Fabricators to Davies High in the Reorte system.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
  • Davies High is at planet Home
  • Station services: Commodities Market, Shipyard, Outfitting, Repair, Restock, Refuel, Social Space
  • Prices at Davies High:
    • Advanced Medicines: 11,880 Cr/T
    • Skimmer Components: 8,952 Cr/T
    • Building Fabricators: 18,496 Cr/T

I guess it's maybe more about a predefined outcome of the CG ? 🤷‍♂️ I mean "Stay in the Alliance" = + modules vs "Leave the Alliance" = ./. ...

And referring to the reactions after the Galnet article, there are several players(groups) that would like to see Reorte Mining staying with the Alliance.
I guess for most "uninvolved" players it's either way, money to make... plus a few extra modules couldn't harm in that progress, too.
We'll see that soon, if the "bait" works... 🤷‍♂️

Btw for me it's a no brainer, I'm not involved there and so I'd rather go for the modules... ;)

I wonder just how minimal the reward would need to be, to not tip the scales...

(Meanwhile I have no clue why independence would be the right outcome.)

I guess this way, everyone can be happy. The Alliance groups ensure that six systems (wow) on the galaxy map stay green, at the minor cost of letting Sirius continue to establish control over the Alliance itself. When this backfires horribly later on, they can just blame the module shoppers while basking in the green glow.

The evil horde of independent players motivated by... heatsinks... there's no way the Alliance can defend themselves against that.

No, I'm not annoyed. Okay maybe a little bit, like, you just fought a war to keep them out of Reorte but you can't handle a small bribe?

“Although Sirius Corporation is not officially involved with these competing initiatives, it is offering pre-engineered heat sink modules to independent pilots who make deliveries to the Trobairitz.”

Pre-engineered how? And to all contributors or a certain tier?

The other CG thread gives details. They are engineered with additional ammo but no additional mass (as opposed to normal engineering which does add mass). Top 75% of contributors get one, 50% get two, and 25% get three.

That's only if you side with Sirius. Supporting independence gets you nothing.

Well, after delivering five Cutterloads of Skimmer Components to Davies High I'm in the Top Ten - the first, and in all probability the last, time that's ever happened.

Might do another set sometime next week but I won't be breaking my back to strive for an independent Reorte - can anyone say "foregone conclusion"?

Edit: I've just had a look at Inara - I'm actually first! That'll definitely never happen again!

I do think it's a shame there's not even a token reward for this side. Like maybe x amount of minerals from them as a thank you. But regardless, I haul my T9 for independence of Reorte. Might even get Elite trading in doing it.

This whole narration in ED driven by CG's is preestablished. One side offers modules - quoting Tony Montana "rush, rush get the yeyo". The other side offers nothing - meh, don't even bother cmdr. Why it is like that? Why does the other side have nothing to present? Why can't have a healthy competition where PLAYERBASE decides the course of the action?
