i think there are 3 points of view that are to be considered in regard of elite youtubers
1st is the company pov, where you provide free pr and free promo. and as much as we all are a loving community and friends and partners and commanders and all is sunshine and flowers, you are also being an unpaid asset to the company and as such will naturaly get very positive feedback from the company for as long as you adhere to their rules. this relationship might provide you some exclusive information or media, perhaps even lend a bit more credibility to your words, but has no influence on how your content will be viewed and received by the general audience.
2nd is the pov of the professional youtuber. every creator chooses the way he wants to engage with the audience. and whether its to provide information, have some fun, be cool or whatever else, you also have to attract some views and clicks. that can mean many things, from pluging your vids to the forums, poking at the prospect of some doom, having clickbait titles or just a long standing history of being professional, informational and on point. and all is fair in the love for the game and war for the clicks.
3rd is the pov of the regular johns like me. fans of the game, fans of company, nerds and geeks, lurkers and hypers. people who take what they get at the face value. and here you can find people who might consider clickbaiting doom as a sort of unloyalty towards the fans or betrayal of the game or the company. some might just dislike the emotional rollercoaster of being hyped and then stressed and then hyped and then stressed. some consider themselves part of a community and feel very defensive when confronted with opinions from the 'other side'. some might see opinionated videos as pretentious, some might see critique as hating, but overall i think that generally most of as are cool and that the emptiest cans rattle the most. you say how this forum has a reputation, but the same can be said about any and all communities, including yours. reddit, youtube, dicord, facebook, twitter, forums... they all have their kind of flavour in their communities, reputations, rumours... and haters can be found in all of them. if you want to generalise, we are all terrible. including you.
me personally i dont consider life to be a race. if you are doing well i am happy for you. i know that creating content is tough job and i think your content is consistently pretty good quality. you know your stuff. no hate from me.
but i also think that some amount of the bad rep youtubers get is well earned. by the youtubers themselves. makign spicy content can get you burned. buur has no haters.
