Bindings

I am using Windows 8 and also had problems to put my custom bindings file to work in the Gamma Version of the game today.
Found out that there are two Frontier Develoments folders on my disk now:

1. C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Frontier_Developments\Products\...\ControlSchemes
and
2. C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings

-> One with and one without <underscore>

I had to put my custom binding file in the 2. folder. Works.

Hope this info is helpful for someone out there :)

Using Smackers great layout and binds file as a base I modified it a little to suit my playstyle and TrackIR 5 Pro use a bit more as I have no need for things like Headlook or Panel Look toggles.

This setup has been working great for me. I never have to touch the keyboard anymore (for things like TrackIR reset or TeamSpeak Push to Talk). It's the best setup I've found so far for use with Head Tracking (though I still use the mouse for the galaxy map, Station Services, etc...).

Nice, been meaning to try getting headtracking working.

Some beginner questions:
- How do you macro something like "Request Docking" to a button?

- Why map "Enable FSD to Super Cruise" and "Enable FSD to Hyperspace Jump" seperately? Shouldn't mapping "Enable Frame Shift Drive" do the same, according to what you have targeted? If there is a distinct advantage in mapping it seperately, please tell me!

- What does the entire section of "Flight Landing Overrides" do? I assume it changes all your setups as soon as Landing Gear is deployed. What for? How should I set it up with the Hotas X? Do you even use it?

- How do you deal with the Galaxy Map?

Enable FSD to Supercruise doesn't require having a target location or to align with anything, very useful when you need to get the hell out of there.

Hello.

My Hotas arrived today and Ive been studying this thread with interest until I get home from work and can try the bindings out.

In my KB and M setup I use the Space Bar to select what I have highlighted in the different panels, but I can't make out what button is used when using a joystick.

Any help appreciated.

Many thanks
