Probably the most dumb thing I've seen in game so far.

Below is a screenshot of both transitional pieces into water on the Outamax Water Coaster, one is a really nice transition, and one comes in from a horizontal piece.
Guess which one you're forced to use if you want to slow your car down?

I've seen dumber:

Do you think the Momentum and Star loop don't have unload-only stations? Wrong; they do, and they're not really useful in any way as they are both designed to flythrough the station. Unload-only stations are only useful on full circuit block sectioned coasters.

At least they spared the boomerangs from this headache though.

The boomerangs are hardly spared, one has a 12M straight piece you MUST place before the lifthill, and 1 has a straight piece as part of it's lifthill which means unsmooth transitions :(

Like, I don't understand these decisions, They've given us a really REALLY nice transition on the Outamax Water Coaster, but it doesn't slow the cars down, so you HAVE to use that horrible transition where it comes in horizontally to slow the car down, but then they give us another coaster that's pretty much perfect no matter how steep you make it (pic below) and someone decides not to do the same thing for all coasters that transition into water? Why? Why make 1 water coaster almost perfect, and the other 4 so bloody miserable looking.

You are right, but what I meant was about unload-only stations. The boomerang's 12m lift hill pieces placed before the station were also mandatory in Planet Coaster 1.

What I also find weird is that the twisted towers on the Momentum only go clockwise which means if you want a dueling one with a spike twisted counterclockwise, you have to custom build it, and the coaster builder doesn't like vertical twisting.

Oh yea, vertical building always does that thing where the game isn't sure if you're vertical, or if you've twisted 90 degrees to get the angle, then it suddenly tries to build sideways :/
