Problem with engineer Marco Qwent

Hello Cmdrs! O7

Have been trying to get invite from Engineer Marco Qwent for a while now. Of course that Sirius Corp allied grind and all. But now i have been in Sirius system and visited Petterson Enterprises and STILL no invitation from Qwent? This has been going on for 2 days now. I’m asking here first before i make a ticket if i’m missing something here or is it a bug? There has been problems with this in the past 2.2 and should been fixed in 2.3 or am i wrong?


It’s very frustrating when you do all that work and realise that it all has been for nothing.


And i have to add one thing. Marcos briefing says “They won’t consider it unless you’re FRIENDLY with them” but you have to bee ALLIED with them before you get invited. Isn’t that a bit misleading?

Where are you looking for the invitation? I seem to recall this being a bit fiddly for me, and I think I had to go to a different station where it eventually came up on the mission board.

I remember the same problem. It was going to a different station (like you did) that resolved it for me. It was a long time ago so I don't remember the name either... but it was close by...

Wait! What? Mission board? Shouldn't i just get invitation or information whereabouts of he's base like all the other engineers do? Why doesn't this game give any information what to do next regarding this? If after all this i have to do "missions" to get invited, why does it not appear in Qwents Log? The last requirement in that log list is "You gain access to Marco Qwent because you ware invited by the Sirius Corporation" and there is no tick in that checkbox yet, even than i have been invited by the Sirius Corp in to the Sirius system 2 days ago?

Are you guys talking about invitation to Sirius system? Because i had that same problem with that AND i finally found that invitation from the mission board in Procyon or Avik system... don't remember which one it was. My problem is that i have done all that but still don't have a tick in "You gain access to Marco Qwent because you ware invited by the Sirius Corporation" checkbox?

It is my belief that you not only have to be allied first, which is a grind buy you also have to be frendily with the individual(s) who will issue the actual permit from the particular station. Which means doing more missions for him or them. I mean you've proven you loyality to some degree by getting alied with the entire faction. Now you have to make the individual who gives the pemit happy. Basically the same grind but at a different location withing their own juristiction.

I got allied with the group while in Sothis which is a Federal system. The permit is only issued from a Sirus system.

You should see the invitation as a 'mission' in the mission board; it will be something like 'Invitation to Engineer Marco Qwent' and you accept it. There are no extra missions you need to do. Invitation to the Sirius system is a seperate thing which I can only presume you already have as you say you are there.

Yes it is a little confusing; I can only presume there are some game mechanics which meant this was the best way of doing it. There are other engineers you unlock this way.

Permit? I already have the Permit to Sirius. Are you talking about invitation to engineer Qwent, because thats the issue here. I got my permit to Sirius system 2 days ago and still no invitation to Qwent. Thats the problem i have :)

So just have to find that invitation "mission" from some Sirius Corp station, but we don't know which one or is it a Sirius Corps representative in the Petterson Enterprise station?

To unlock Marco Qwent there are a few boxes to check,

Get invitation to Elvira Martuuk once you have travelled more than 300 ly from start

Get to learn of MQ from Elvira Martuuk once you get to level 3 - 4 with her.

Get allied with Sirius corp to get Sirius permit

Get invitation/mission to MQ from Sirius Corp from station within the Sirius system ? (think that is it). This took me about 8-12hrs of gameplay to get. Seems to vary wildly depending on luck.

Find 25 modular terminals from various missions which will magically dry up from the galaxy when your looking for them, to unlock MQ.

These are all the stations with a representation from the Sirius Corp. If you are not seeing the invite on the Sirius system boards, log out and back in again, and try some of the stations in the other systems.

Thank you Cmdr, but like i have told i have done all this, so this is information that i know :) My problem is, that mission that will invite me to Engineer Qwent doesn't appear for me. At the moment i'm in Sirius system at the Petterson Enterprise station and there is no mission in the board which should invite me to him. So i was just asking if someone else has had this same problem and if it is a known bug etc.

Took ages for me to get the invite approx 8-12hrs of gameplay floating around various Sirius stations and doing missions before the invite finally showed. Seems for some it is quite quick and others it can take awhile.

It's always worth logging out and closing the application then opening it up again when you are sure you have fulfilled all the requirements for something. Doesn't always work, but worth a try.

You can rep up at any place the faction is at, but only systems within 15 light years of the permit faction's home system will provide the permit.

Go to procyon.
