Problem with ranges

Your FSD will consume more than its per-jump limit of fuel to achieve 7.09Ly, although theoretically it could reach 7.10Ly if you remove that constraint.

Not sure if I follow you. How would I go about doing that? One thing I did try was to cruise towards the location until I was within range, I got to 6.64ly (after about an hour) and it still wouldn't let me jump.

You might have a bugged drive. I had a similar problem. I had to sell and rebuy my FSD to resolve it. Also you cannot exceed your "per jump" fuel usage limit as noted in the ship outfitting screen. You would need to lower your ships mass and/or upgrade the drive itself.

Sometimes I have found the galaxy map to be unreliable when you are that close to your max range. Go to your nav panel in the cockpit and select it there, it should allow the jump.

Looks like a bug, unless I've been confused all this time that should work.

Presumably you are saying you can't jump there rather than the map should be drawing the lines?

If you are in supercruise mode, try targeting where you want to jump to in the system map, then go to the left UI panel in your cockpit to check if it's selected. If it doesn't say excess mass, hit jump. The computer should tell you that you exceed max fuel that can be consumed per jump.

(I could be wrong, but I've run into this problem several times before when jumping close to my maximum range. I always thought that fuel was the problem.)

Oh come on, thats just 946 billion kilometer deviation. You can't be serious by taking that into account %)

This worked, thank you. But it sure makes nav'ing difficult. Especially on those long distance runs, I'm stuck in an area I can't get out of because I came for cargo. Damn logisitics.
