RCT 3 PC Problems with terrain and rides

I have a problem thats been scratching my head

I make a ride any type of ride and position the entrance and exit.

I then make a path towards the entrance and exit however the entrance and exit of the ride is slighly higher than the land/path.

I've tried raising the terrain by a bit and then smoothing it but still unsucessful so 1/3 of my park cant be built as I cant seem to flatten the terrain and make the height of the land/path match the ride height.

As you can see the stall is slightly above ground height and if you look over to the top left the ride is slightly above the path

How do I fix this?

Can anybody help me?

Make sure you smooth the terrain in the fixed height increments, that way it will be at the correct height for paths.
