LostWinds Profitablilty?

Hello! This message is for Frontier.

Just a quick question--was the game profitable as released on Wii Ware? I was wondering how a company could make money selling a game for only $10. I know that this is prying, but I'm really curious to know. I wish this game success, because I really enjoyed it, and I want to know if there is a future for games like this. I hope so, because LostWinds is an excellent standard.

I can't say whether the game has been profitable or not, I can say that we are looking to do a sequel, although no details are available as yet.

Well, VGChartz has come up with a fairly rough estimate of sales based on the Nintendo Channel data.

So, just going off of that, at 10 dollars a pop it would have made over 800,000 dollars. Of course some of that would go to Nintendo. Now, I have no idea how much a game like LostWinds would cost to make, but I wouldn't be surprised if they made at least some money off of it.

on-dvd-release can be more profitably. i think thats the frontier plan for lostwinds 2 ^_____^b
