Project L.G.A.N.S (Local Geologically Active Nebulae Project)

Hello CMDRS

I give to you:

While this is mainly a solo expedition if you want to contribute in any way and find yourself in any of these systems please read through the guidelines found in the link above and then post your findings (organics, fumaroles, geysers) here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...Fumarole-Location-Catalog-and-Data-Collection

If you'd like to leave the same day I do, perhaps try to instance together and all that then feel free to Add me CMDR MADRAPTOR, MSG and more info will be provided closer to launch date. Expected departure date is going to be: Friday, May 12th. More details to come. Stay tuned to this thread for expedition updates as well as the thread above for all the new sites found!

Wow, that is quite an ambitious project!
Best of luck!

Yes, I may have really bitten off more than I could chew but hey, it could be fun. I plan to be at it for quite some time. Luckily being a more geologic expedition that makes things a little bit more manageable but it's still a Goliath task ahead of me and I'm ready for something a bit different. I was hoping the alien sutff would have moved forward from now because I keep putting plans on hold because I don't want to miss anything but Ram Ta is still broken, the alien base is locked behind some barrier and don't know whats going on with the whole Salmoe stuff so I've decided screw waiting for FD to get things in order and just go out and do my thing if I miss something cool because I'm out in the black oh well, guess it's nice we have Multi-Crew for some of that stuff.

Haha, I'm sure he has already gotten quite a few in some of these locations so I'll definitely have to find out what ones he's checked.

Got two more bodies to check in Hruntia and I am sure there are a few smallish bodies out that way for my other project so I can head out, by the way, missed a good opportunity there;

Local Organic and Geologically Active Nebulae Survey, you could have called it L.O.G.A.N.S Run :D

Dang! It took me a long time to come up with a name because I was trying to find something with a good ring to it....and there it was right in front of my face. Maybe a name change is in order since i have not set off yet

It begins,

Starts today and runs until all candidate nebulae have been fully surveyed.

Was going to take some time to engineer my Conda, but realized that I've pretty much have it as good as I'm going to get it. Just dropped by Palin to get some thruster upgrades. Seeing as Palin is in the Pleiades this is where I will begin my Expedition. Again, you can either join me in the Pleiades or grab one of the nebulae from the list and being your own survey for the project. Again, follow the guidelines, which you can get by clicking on the logo and don't forget to submit your site and mention it's for the L.G.A.N.S Project!

Finished Hruntia and set out for the California Nebula last session, will keep you updated on finds.

Oh yes just noted a small mistake in your guidelines document, it says this;
Local = 1000 KM Radius around SOL

But I am sure that should be 1000 LY.

I could do the 1000 km radius around Sol in my sleep :D

Haha, wow, yep, well, ya know, I'm just going to dip my feet in, the big big ocean scares. me. Haha, thanks for catching that. :)

The Pleiades should be a easier one to start out with. Here are the candidates!
