Hi,
I've got Type-9 and I've tried a few core mining runs with it. I noticed that very often when I launch a prospector limpet at an asteroid, the limpet gets almost immediately destroyed. I suspect it is because it gets launched in such a way that it collides with the ship and the impact destroys it? After launching it, I hear the "limpet expired" notification and I can then see the destroyed limpet (no rear propulsion light visible, simply dead) flying towards the asteroid, hitting it and bouncing off.
I have a cargo hold of about 300 and usually I bring with me about 200 limpets and I would say I lose this way about 30-40 limpets every time.
I tried a few such runs in the past with other ship and I don't remember losing the limpets this way so I want to ask if this is something ship-specific or if it is a global thing and consequently if there is a way to avoid this.
