The fly in the Mobius ointment is when there's a CMDR playing the other side of a CZ, which is definitely happening in this CG. AFAIK you're not allowed to shoot at that CMDR despite them clearly being enemies in a distinctly defined PvP zone. This is one of the reasons I don't play in Mobius anymore..About Mobius: [...]
But in general, for bounty hunting and especially CZs and their bulletsponges, it is useful to wing up even without explicit communication, only naturally evolving: one targets, the rest of the wing uses that target until it is destroyed. This is still strictly non-PVP, so you won't have to worry about prolonged/relevant enemy CMDR fire.
As for wings, I stick by my original question - if you're not interested in winging up with other CMDRs in an environment that actively encourages wings by its design, why not just play in Solo? I'll even go as far as saying that kill-stealing, which tends to be the (un)intended consequence of not accepting a wing request in a combat zone, is a form of griefing, which is what Mobius is supposedly meant to free players from. This is not directed at rgrocott, but rather the players I've encountered who have ignored my multiple wing requests and yet have no problem swooping in and stealing my kills.
