COMPLETED CG Protect Deliveries to Minerva (Bounty Hunting)

Pan Galactic Mining Corp owns the system and the station. Let us know if it doesn't work. I'll check for myself after work.

The "major faction" is less clear to me. PGMC is Independent, so, does that mean any independent bounty vouchers count?
It works, your information is correct. Just the wording in this thread's OP confused me. The ingame CG menu makes it clear the host faction is the Pan Galactic Mining Corp.

Which bounties do I need to accomplish?

I took two (kill pirate name , and a kill pirate of faction) then I did another selecting the pan galatic mining group (the faction/group in charge of starlace station). Turned all three in like a normal mission (the blue highlight on the right) but still at zero (bounty) contribution.

Thanks

This is thanks to an old UI bug. When you do hand in your bounties at the station, you have to do a menu relog to get it to show up (or else wait up to 10 minutes). I had to do the same with mine just now.

To be clear - forbiddenlake is right that missions don't directly matter, it's the bounties you got for Pan Galactic Mining Corp. in the course of completing those missions that matter for the CG.

Thank you for helping me. I don't know what I was thinking other than I mostly do missions (still collecting eng materials). I quickly found a couple "weapons fire" emissions in Minerva with Pan G. name in the upper right box. 3 pirates later I turned in my 600kish bounty with the station director of Starlace Station.

Sadly, PGMC doesn't own any space installations in Minerva. But I can confirm that General Pharmaceutical in Peneng Wa is (for now) and you can earn PGMC bounties there, which count.

I used a KWS and also got bounties for Workers of Qawamita Confederation, which is Independent, which counted!
I also got vouchers for Values Party of Peneng Wa (Federation) and Imperial Council Of Nobles (Empire), which did not count.

So it looks like bounty vouchers from any independent minor faction count.

So... are we getting 4x the value of bounty vouchers like it was change for the trade side? You know, to make it fair? ;-)

You might get shot at when transporting cargo, but getting shot at is bounty hunting. Better payout for the higher risk activity might be nice now and then.

Wait a sec.... according to Inara, you get 65 MCr. payout for the top 100% ?

Time to strap a couple of lasers to my loaner Sidey and help the cops to tag the baddies...

Tier 1 and we're already at 50mil for the top 100% 👀

Also, contrary to Inara's ownership record, Crooked Loch Produce in Minerva is owned by PGMC and is spawning pirate attack scenarios, so it's great for the CG.
I discovered this last night. Brought out the shield tank 'vette with a small hold loaded with goods and a PDC protecting the hold. Didn't take long before I had no less than 20 swarming me all at once. Got a lot of kills, a third or more which counted for PGMC, and eventually got overwhelmed. Ratatata fun to be had here!

Just go to a HazRes site and kill everything in sight that says "Wanted" after you scan it.

Optional: Use a Kill Warrant Scanner for added bounties from other factions in other systems (those may or may not count for CG, see next post).

Deliver bounty vouchers to the Administrative Contact at CG station (AFTER you have signed up for the CG).

Rinse and repeat as many times as you can stomach.

EDIT: WARNING: unlike Low to High RES, HazRES have no security around, meaning no system authority vessels will come to your aid.

Fun fact, some of them do. For this CG any voucher issued by an independent minor faction counts.

It's only a small fraction if you're hunting in Minerva, but it does help a little.

Oh... That explains the little extra I've been getting from PGMC. Good to know, thanks!

I got the CG, killed a lot of WANTED pirates in the system, turned in the reports and it didn't count.
I had “Wanted” status when I turned it in and I'm flying for a different power than the one in the system.

Is this a bug?
Nothing counted.

added:OK, has counted but 10 minutes later.

Tip: the Transactions panel of your ship takes several minutes to update, as you have seen .
The missions panel of the station, on the other hand, updates instantly: the next time you cash in the bounties, check there, under the Community Goals, right where you sign up, and you'll see where you're at without having to wait.

Oh, nice. I can fit out my "multi-role" Python Mk II and carry 30 tons of supplies whilst I'm bounty hunting!

So max I can go to is High Res if I want security ships around, is that correct?
I went to Haz Res and was chased off by wing of 3 and no security came to help.
I want to go in K2 or P2 and 'help' the security, so I can tag the bigger ships.
(got KWS loaded, 1T cargo and 2 PDT's)

Correct - or a regular nav beacon. Cargo is only useful if you want to attract the pirates, which can (as you noticed) backfire.

Correct.

Yes, forgot to mention that in my post. Sorry about that!

Though this is a valid strategy to attract pirates, I would advise against it if you're still learning the ropes about bounty hunting and don't have a ship that can tank damage,

If two wings of 2-3 happen to scan you at the same time, you'll have 4-6 pirates hammering on you and you can take quite a beating before the cops show up.
